In a quote from the Astronomy picture of the day 5/23/2008(APOD) | Quote: | Jupiter's recent outbreak of red spots is likely related to large scale climate change as the gas giant planet is getting warmer near the equator.

Maybe there are humans there on Jupiter causing this global warming LOL _________________ My boss is a Jewish carpenter.

So you're okay with the idea of global warming--but only when humans don't have anything to do with it? _________________ When Science was in its crib, Religion tried to strangle it. Um, is there a reason this thread is in the forum for discussion about the 10 Commandments and laws of the Bible? Just askin'. _________________ Establishing the law by receiving the righteousness which is by faith, without the deeds of the law!

I think it's a moot point...something powerful enough to change the temp in the entire solar system (Earth and Mars showing most obvious changes, but Jupiter now too)...and you think humans can do anything about it? _________________ Links of note:"Review for Doubting Christians"

Mars too??!!!!
I need to look this up. Can you cite sources for that?
The long dormant inhabitants of Mars may soon wake out of their long hibernation as their frigid planet warms once more. _________________ Establishing the law by receiving the righteousness which is by faith, without the deeds of the law!

Here's one to ponder...if our galaxy is a rotating galaxy (which it is), then there is a force so strong and powerful at it's center that it would radiate from the center of the galaxy outward and it would be like an invisible disc. This disc would be the gravitational field which binds the galaxy together. The problem with it, or at least for us humans is, the disc weaves or tilts back and forth across its axis of the center or point of origin. If any of you are old enough to still have a vinyl record, pass a pencil through the center hole, spin the record as hard as you can and then feel the torque as it trys to sway from side to side on its axis.
The gravitiational field of our galaxy is doing the same thing (much more slowly of course) and we are now beginning to see the effects of the gravitational force of our galaxie wreak havoc with the gravitational force of our solar system and all the planets will eventually heat up due to all this gravitational friction as we pass through the plein of this gravitational field.
Eventually it will hit a peak and then begin to reverse the effects on our solar system and go back to "normal" for the next undetermined time period.
Peace

There is a 25,000 year cycle but this is for the Earth's pole in its wobble around the sun through the ages. It is called precession. _________________ My boss is a Jewish carpenter.

http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2008/sep/HQ_M08176_Ulysses_teleconference.html
| Quote: | NASA To Discuss Conditions On And Surrounding The Sun WASHINGTON -- NASA will hold a media teleconference Tuesday, Sept. 23, at 12:30 p.m. EDT, to discuss data from the joint NASA and European Space Agency Ulysses mission that reveals the sun's solar wind is at a 50-year low. The sun's current state could result in changing conditions in the solar system.
Ulysses was the first mission to survey the space environment above and below the poles of the sun. The reams of data Ulysses returned have changed forever the way scientists view our star and its effects. The venerable spacecraft has lasted more than 17 years - almost four times its expected mission lifetime.

oh yeah...and sunspot activity has dropped to zero...
and the cooling trend continues globally..... _________________ Links of note:"Review for Doubting Christians"
