WHO has Immortality now ?
1 Timothy 6:15 Which in his times he shall show, [who is] the blessed and only Potentate, the King of kings, and Lord of lords;
6:16 Who only hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto; whom no man hath seen, nor can see: to whom [be] honour and power everlasting. Amen.

QUESTION: So, when does a man/woman become an immortal soul ?

1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I show you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
15:52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
15:53 For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal [must] put on immortality.

15:54 So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption, and this mortal shall have put on immortality, then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written, Death is swallowed up in victory.

Is that what Jesus meant when HE said this ......

Revelation 22:12 And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward [is] with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.

Hey SS its has been awhile,
If I understand you question right I would see the Gospel of John is an excellent reference to the answer. It is written multiple times in this gospel of God wanting to make His abode IN US, and through the "process" of being born again we receive God into our heart and at that point we have eternal life in us, (God in us) allowing God to live through us. We become temples of the living God manifesting Him to the world through our lives - John 14:22-23.
