This Generation

I have not found any verse in the Bible containing the phrase “this generation” that refers to people in the future. These people are always the ones spoken to in their current life time.

Here are some the verses I found, there are many more…

Genesis 7:1
Then the LORD said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and all your household, for I have seen that you are righteous before me in this generation.
Psalm 12:7
You, O LORD, will keep them; you will guard us from this generation forever.
Matthew 11:16
"But to what shall I compare this generation? It is like children sitting in the marketplaces and calling to their playmates,
Matthew 12:41
The men of Nineveh will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, something greater than Jonah is here.
Matthew 12:42
The queen of the South will rise up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for she came from the ends of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, something greater than Solomon is here.
