Hello everyone, my name is Bradley Warholm and I have been a beleiver since I was young. But I was one of those beleivers who did nothing with their beleif. It wasn't untill about a year ago, after getting married to my wife did I truly have faith, now if you look up what the bible speeks about faith, it says that faith is beleife followed by action as in James 2
14 ¶ What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him?
15 If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food,
16 And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit?
17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.
18 Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works.
Now Yahweh has been working in my life, molding me into the man he want's me to be. So in order that I don't have faith that is worthless I am doing my part to keep in his word as much as I can, and show his love in my life, from day to day. I am looking forward to the indepth discussions within this forum to help sharpen my mind and skills in Yahweh's word, and I ask that you all pray for me and ask that Yahweh will guide me through the holy spirit. So that I may become complete through his son Yeshua.

Hi Bradley,

Welcome.

Just to encourage you about faith:

Faith works by Love, Galatians 5:6,
and
Love makes even 'no faith' work.
Daniel 3:16-18, especially verse 18.

Works work by Love, 1 Corin 13:3,
and
Love makes even 'no works' work. Luke 10:38-42. Romans 4:6.

So James means that:

It is faith without Love that doesn't work:1 Corin 13:2.
It is work without Love that doesn't work: 1 Corin 13:3.

Hope that that shows you that
there is a time to work in Love,
and there is a time to in Love work not: Eccles 3:1-8,
but there is never a time to not have a loving attitude.

Dear Atoz,

I am not to sure what you really mean about the love works thing in James 2:14-26. So I am just curiouse if you could explain how you came to the conclusion that he was really talking about love with works. Or have I taken what you have written to me out of context. I am just curriouse to see your opinion, and look forward to learning some more about what you beleive.

It is based on 1 Corin 16:14: Let all your works be done with Love.

So as in Math, so too is words:
just as
when a=b,
then b=a,
so too
when works mean Love,
then Love also means works.

So faith without works means faith without Love.

And works without faith means works without Love.
