My name is Stan Scott. I am recently fascinated by the story surrounding the Ten Commandments, Moses, and the amount of time that Israel spent in Egypt, and would love to discuss my investigation with anyone who wants to. To begin with, when the Ten Commandments were given by God, who was present?

So... What say you all. When God gave the Ten Commandments, who was present? How long did the Hebrews spent in Egypt. Who was Moses' Grandfather? etc.

This is a forum to introduce yourself, not necessarily to debate.

Unless of course you were to introduce yourself by saying, 'Hello, I like cheese, specifically swiss cheese'.

I would then have to debate you that although swiss is delicious, cheddar is by far the best.

Well... I for one saw the movie.

It was Charleton Heston who was there and the Hebrews spent... um... me thinks about 400 years in Egypt.... maybe it was two... I'd have to look, as that wasn't in the movie.

If you are looking for the real answer to these questions though, I believe TSS was right (and that ain't to often BTW) it is in Exodus. If you want to quibble about which time Moses received the Commandments, who and who was not there, who wrote them, then you have to do some cross referencing into Deuteronomy and such. But the majority of your answers start around chapter 19.

Hope that helps... Welcome aboard.

Trinity
