My apologies to Joman who appears to have responded to my original post. Also, my respects to the moderators who maintain this forum.

Isaiah 53 asks...Who shall declare his generation?.
In the previous chapter of Matthew Jesus declared that the Pharisees were the generation of vipers.
In another place Jesus said that they were of their father the Devil.

So, Jesus has a generation which extends from his ressurection to the end of time.
And, the Devil has a generation that extends from the rebellion in heaven til his soon to come destruction.

Joman.

That refers to those who live in the gospel age, including the present time. Attempts to force a literal interpretation of early Genesis by reference to any words of Jesus or any apostle cannot succeed, because, even if Jesus and the apostles understood these events literally, the literal meaning is of no spiritual value. In fact, the spiritual value is enhanced by absence of literal meaning. It is disappointing that, in the USA in particular, this spiritual value is not valued- unless of course there is deliberate attempt to stifle spiritual value by agents of the Adversary in the land of Mammon. There are certainly signs of such a malign influence on the internet.

Yes rst, and speaking of word derivations, the Hebrew Term ' Satan = Adversary '.

The ' Adversary in the land of Mammon ' is as per usual, the deceitful, wicked human mind (heart) lusting for power and riches and the human mind (heart) outclasses any alleged evil spirit being. (Jer. 17: 9) KJV

Indeed it is, and Satan goes around as a lion looking for prey, and finds so much prey in the land of Mammon, which is also the the land of dangerous religious cults- Catholicism, Creationism, charismatism, Calvinism, KJVOery to name just the bigger ones. Yes, the land of Mammon is very 'Christian'. How one can serve God and Mammon with such terrified determination, only Americans know. The rest of the world looks on in disbelief.

Yes, the carnal human mind is active throughout the world looking to deceive others for profit and gain. Jer. 17: 9 confirms the human mind (propensity to sin) outclasses any alleged naughty spirit being.

Thanks

If you think so, go with it. Maybe the Adversary will smirk as you go.

The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked . . . . (Jer. 17: 9) KJV

NB: ' above all things '

The human mind is more deceitful than anything else. . . . . (Jer. 17: 9) NET

NB: ' more than anything else '

So please show how your alleged naughty Satan spirit being tops that?

Thank you

Why are you claiming the translators of the NET & KJV Bibles can't read Hebrew?

Can you please answer instead of ducking for cover?

Thank you

You obviously can't read it yourself. Good-bye.

I said you would capitulate because your claims have been decimated by the Bible.
