I would like to share some things I've had in my heart for some time concerning the State of the Church and where we stand as the Body of Christ in the United States.
Matt. 11:12, And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.
When the Apostle Paul writes to the churches and exhorts them to fight the good fight of faith, put on the whole armor of God, endure hardness as a good soldier of Jesus Christ, you can readily see that we are in a conflict. No matter what you may think about the subject of spiritual warfare, we as believers are involved in it.
The Apostle Peter wrote, your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour... As determined and as willing as the Lord is to provide for us, protect us, bless and prosper us, we have the enemy who is determined to keep us out of God's best. He is out to destroy us. Peter goes on to say, stand firm against him, and be strong in FAITH (1 Peter 5:8).
There seems to be an all out attack against the Church in general, and against God's ministers in particular. Many of these attacks are physical in nature. Heart attacks, cancers, accidents and premature deaths are taking a toll on leaders in the Body of Christ. For that reason, I am advocating violence. Christians have become too passive. We need to make up our minds that we are not going to do without one single benifit of the redemptive work of Christ. The scripture says The violent take it by force (Matt. 11:12).
It is time to rise up in faith and holy boldness and absolutely refuse to be a victim of something that Jesus delivered us from. The Bible says, Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us (Gal. 3:13). Sickness and disease is part of the curse of the law. If Jesus died and shed His precious blood to provide a remedy for sin, sickness and disease, then let's determine that we're going to posssess everything that the Lord has promised us in His Word. The price paid for our deliverance, the precious blood of Jesus was too costly for us to do without it. God never intended that you and I become victims of the enemy. Instead Jesus said, Behold I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy; and nothing shall by any means hurt you ( Luke 10:19). It is time to be fully clothed in the armor of God, and resist the attacks of our adversary. This is not a time to be passive in these things.
For faith to work in a believers life, it must be released. Faith is released by it in your heart and speaking it out of your mouth. Satan is a defeated foe. He called us to be overcomers through Christ.

I get conflict in my thoughts golfjack...
stand still and watch. The Lord will fight the battle.
And take on the armour and overcome the enemy..
| Quote: | | I work things out as I type so usually what I start out with is not what it ends up being |
If I put these two things together..stand still, yet fight..what is God saying here??
Jesus told Peter to put his sword down...
It's not OUR sword that is going to fight the enemy...
It is God weilding His sword by those who Are his body.
We Are His Hand and not our own....
We..that is our own capabilities are not powerful enough...
We must let Him use his capabilies through us.
It is his armour that covers it us, it is his hand that weilds the sword, it is He who conquers the enemy.
And we are his workmanship. We are his tools. We are the vessels that he displays his power through.
So how do we fight!!
Stand where you are in truth and in faith and do not turn from the left to the right. Remain strong, when opposition arises remain strong in the truth.
If they say this way is good go here do this....Do It Not.
Remain in what God has shown us and do not sway with the oppinions of men. Do Not follow after them regardless of how good it looks.
because they will conquer by deception. They will make evil look good.
Stand Fast...Be Strong...Keep the Faith...and watch God work in you and make you immovable. _________________ Joh 15:14 Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you.

Advocating violence is probably not in accordance with Jesus' teachings. It's also probably against the law... _________________ Truth doesn't care about theology, and theology doesn't care about truth.

Lone, God gave us His Word. It is up to us to use His Word to defeat the enemy in our lives. God supplies, and we take those tools and use them. We don't store them in the actic for a rainy day.

golfjack...
God's word is Christ.
do we use Christ or do we allow him to use us?
are we able to bear those tools alone and on our own? or do we allow Christ to wield his tools through us?
If we store our Faith in him in an attic golfjack, we are already defeated.
God Bless

Lone, I will give you an example of what I mean. God supplies all our needs according to His riches and glory. right. If one lose a job, do you expect God to find the job for you? He will give you guidance, but one has to get off the couch and go find the job. If you just sit there, that would be called foolish faith. We do have a spiritual battle, and God's Word is needed to thwart off the enemy. Prayer is a good way to win the battle over Satan.

There has been volumes of discussion about Job. I once heard this explanation, and it made sense to me. Job, a righteous man who loved God, was sitting in a wicked land - and was complacent.
Job 16:12 I[b] was at ease[/b], but he hath broken me asunder: he hath also taken [me] by my neck, and shaken me to pieces, and set me up for his mark.
We are to be dressed for battle:
Eph 6:13 Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day...
Eph 6:17 ... and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God...
Paul tells us that the weapon that we are to use is the sword of the Spirit - THE WORD OF GOD. How do we use the sword? What makes us become a skilled soldier with the sword?
Read the Word. Know the word. Quote the word. Pray the word back to God. Use the sword to attack and cut down the enemy. Use the sword to defend those who are oppressed.
Isa 55:11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper [in the thing] whereto I sent it.
Hbr 4:12 For the word of God [is] quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and [is] a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Jer 1:9 Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.
Having a sword hanging on a wall is nothing more than a decoration. It must be sharpened. To be a good soldier you must practice swinging it. Knowing what you can do with it. Learn how to pray as if God will do nothing unless someone asks Him first. Learn how to leave the battle to God as if there is nothing you can do.
2Ch 20:15 And he said, Hearken ye, all Judah, and ye inhabitants of Jerusalem, and thou king Jehoshaphat, Thus saith the LORD unto you, Be not afraid nor dismayed by reason of this great multitude; for the battle [is] not yours, but God's.
2Ch 20:17 Ye shall not [need] to fight in this [battle]: set yourselves, stand ye [still], and see the salvation of the LORD with you, O Judah and Jerusalem: fear not, nor be dismayed; to morrow go out against them: for the LORD [will be] with you.
Again, we are to be dressed for battle...
Eph 6:13 ... and having done all, to stand.
In His Majesty's Service,

Gabby WOW..
I saw this battle in my mind.
We stand as a row of soldiers. And God takes on the battle. Yet even those who stand in the row, have arrows and weapons brought against them.
(rows and rows of soldiers!!) miriads of saints!! ten thousand times ten thousands strong!!!
We stand behind God, and nothing can get through, but an enemy will occasionally sneak in and attack.
When those arrows come flying, they are deflected by the shield, are feet are immovable but are shod with the "preperation" of peace.
when the enemy confronts us face to face, then the sword is the word which God gives us to defend our positions.
So that the enemy can not decieve our minds by trickery, we are given the helmet of salvation to overcome their thoughts.
Our loins are girt about with truth so they can not injure our thighs and bring us to our knees.
There is the breastplate of righteousness that is over our hearts to protect from all unrighteousness and to cover us from giving in to injustice and lack of Love and Mercy...
We will Not Lose...God is at the helm!! He has clothed us with protection!!
And has given us the shoes to prepare for peace!!
Prepare ye the way of The Lord!!!
Yehawww!!
seeing this so clearly..
God Bless

What?!? How are heart attacks, cancers, and accidents attacks against the Church in general and against God's ministers in particular??? Those are diseases, NOT attacks! What are you banging on about?

Man, have you TOTALLY LOST IT? Being Christian means being peaceful. You CAN NOT advocate violence and think that you're following the teachings of Jesus. _________________ "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction."

What is wrong with you Nobby? In context I meant the devil. My goodness sakes, boy are some Christians are sure on edge or something. I am mad now. You listen to the dribble of athesists, and that is OK, but when I try to help Christians in theeir spiritual warfare, you critize me. I think TSS was right. Maybe I will leave this forum too.
