Many believe the Holy Spirit is a separate person that is part of the composition of "God". I'm going to explain here that the Holy Spirit is not a PERSON at all but instead the Holy Spirit is the Personality of the Father in Heaven.

This thread will most likely produce a great deal of attack.

Many have said the Holy Spirit is a person because pronouns such as He or Him are used to describe it. However, if the Holy Spirit is a Personality, then we shouldn't be surprised if the Holy Spirit is referred to with pronouns.

First off I want to mention that the Holy Spirit is one thing that one must possess to enter into life:

Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

Jesus is the one speaking in that verse. I want you to notice the bold part and especially the part about the "words" that Jesus speaks ARE SPIRIT.

Can you know that you are receiving the Holy Spirit? - sure look at that verse again. You can see from that verse that if you are receiving Jesus's words then you are receiving the Holy Spirit!!! That should open many eyes! But to receive the words that Jesus spoke is much more than just hearing them - it means believing them via Faith and therefore repenting and turning towards God to obey His commandments of love.

We have already shown that the Holy Spirit is in the "words" that Jesus spoke. But what are "words"? Words are breath!!! But words are more than just breath - they are breath that has significance and meaning in them.

Now lets look closer at what the Holy Spirit since Paul gives us a great insight into a comparison with the spirit that is in man:

1Co 2:10 But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.
1Co 2:11 For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God.
1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.
1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.
1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.
1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

I bolded many things here because these verses are beautiful for our understanding of the Holy Spirit. Notice in verse 10 that I bolded "His Spirit". The Holy Spirit belongs to Him - who is Him? - its God of course - the Father in Heaven. Now notice verse 11 - this verse is amazing. It shows a comparison of God's Spirit with the spirit in man (remember man was made in the image of God). So here we have God's Personality being comparied to the personality in man. We don't have a separate person within us - therefore how can that verse be a comparision if the Holy Spirit were a separate person? - especially when you consider that man is made in the image of God. Notice very 12 says we have not received the spirit of the world? Is the Spirit of the world a person? or a personality? Think about that as we have another comparison to show that the Holy Spirit is NOT a person but instead is a personality. I remember in High School - someone would say "thats the school spirit" and there would be cheerleaders trying to spread the "spirit". They are actually using the term "spirit" the correct way. Spirit is an identity. God OWNS a SET OF TRAITS (Personality). Even if we put on those TRAITS we are putting on what God OWNS as His own. So if the Holy Spirit is being compared to the spirit of the world - what is that spirit:

Eph 2:2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:

Now notice verse 13 above. Pauls says the things they he speaks are Spirit. Those things are in the words that is why Pauls says "speaks" in that verse. Now notice verse 16 that it uses the word "mind". This is where the Personality resides. So repentance is to change ones mind from doing the things of the flesh to doing the things that God OWNS which are HIS personality. This is why those are the ones that hear His voice for Jesus also has that same personality. Jesus was REVEALING the FATHER's Personality.

Mat 11:27 All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him.

Notice this is why the Spirit makes us cry ABBA or Father:

Rom 8:15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.

It is His way of identifying His Children:

Rom 8:16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God:

So you see the Holy Spirit is being provided as the Words that Jesus Spoke - Jesus is even referred to as the Word of God (Father). Now can you see that God is really the one true God:

Joh 17:3 And this is life eternal, that they might know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom thou hast sent.

So is Jesus God also? Sure He is because within Jesus IS God because God owns the Personality that Jesus has.

The image of God was made a fleshy image but was comprised of two:

Gen 1:27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

And they to were referred to as one in Adam:

Gen 5:2 Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.

So how was the image that God created ONE?:

Gen 2:24 Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

So there you see that Adam and Eve were created in the image of God and together are ONE and referred to as Adam and they are one because they share the flesh of Adam because Eve is taken from the Rib of Adam:

Gen 2:22 And the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.
Gen 2:23 And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

So you see the relationship there. So there are two made as witnesses of the image of God. We have been given two as witness to everything we see around us. We are even given two eyes to see with and even two witness will make an account of God in the World. We even have two witnesses that govern a day. Think about the Sun for example - the Sun is the great light and the moon gets her light from the Sun just as Eve gets her flesh from Adam. The moon was given to us to see in the darkness just as the Christ has come to us to give us light in the darkness.

Now compare this analogy:

In the beginning was the Rib, and the Rib was with Adam, and the Rib was Adam.

to:

Joh 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.

Do you see the comparison. Jesus is the last Adam:

1Co 15:45 And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.
1Co 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.
1Co 15:47 The first man is of the earth, earthy: the second man is the Lord from heaven.

So you see the First man is the natural image of God. Therefore, when you see that all men were born via Eve as children to Adam - you will see that all that are the Children of God are born through Jesus. This shows how God has made Jesus both the second Adam and second Eve putting everything in Jesus. Notice in those verses that they correspond to what I'm saying that if Adam and Eve are sharing the Flesh then its the Flesh that is the natural and the Holy Spirit is what the Father and the Son share.

I hope this has opened the eyes of many. For this IS the Truth. Holy communion is Holy Communication. Its about eating the Word of God (God's Spirit) which is contained in words and is the BREAD of Life. Remember the Spirit is words and life. God wants us to consume like bread the words of Jesus.

Please ask any questions you may have as I know there may be many. I want you to understand this as it will open so many more truths to you such as why there were two swords, and why there was 7 loaves, and then 5 loaves and 2 fishes, etc... More to follow on those subjects.

I also wanted to mention that I don't think there is any greater attack by Satan than that which takes place against mans understanding of the Holy Spirit and the relationship of that Spirit to salvation.

Did you know that Pope John Paul 11 had a private meeting with Benny Hinn, A charismatic like me, to learn about the Holy Spirit?

The Holy Spirit does not speak of Himself:

Joh 16:13 Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will show you things to come.

The Hoy Spirit wrote the Bible:

2Pe 1:20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Scripture is of any private interpretation.
2Pe 1:21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost.

The Bible speaks of Christ, see John above, and:

Joh 5:39 Search the Scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.

Ananias lied to the Holy Spirit, he lied to God:

Act 5:3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?
Act 5:4 While it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

9 occurrences in Ephesians:

1. 2:18. The Holy Spirit is the means of access to God, the Father.
This person is one.
2. 2:22. The Holy Spirit is the Builder of the holy temple which is a
habitation of God. It is built of living stones, believers.
3. 3:5. The Holy Spirit is the Revealer. He revealed the mystery of
Christ to the apostles and prophets.
4. 3:16. The Holy Spirit is the Giver of all power and might.
Here is a purpose.
5. 4:3. The Holy Spirit is the Origin of the spiritual unity.
Here it is the genitive of origin, a figure of speech.
6. 4:30. The Holy Spirit can be grieved or offended. Read the next
two verses and see what offends the Spirit.
7. 5:18. The Holy Spirit is the Filler. He can so fill a believer that
he will overflow with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,
singing and making melody in his heart to the Lord.
He runs the cup over.
8. 6:17. The Holy Spirit carries the sword. He also provides it for the
believer to make up his panoply of armor. The Holy Spirit
has given us the Word of God.
9. 6:18. The Holy Spirit is the source and power of all prayer.
When we know not what to pray for, He can make
intercession for us.

Although we find much about the nature and attributes of the Father and the Son, we do not find so much about the Spirit. And the reason? He does not speak of Himself, but gives testimony of the Son. Christ is the theme of the Bible from beginning to end. And our Lord said that when the Holy Spirit was come He would not speak of Himself, but of Christ.

Isaiah 45:1. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH...
3. I, JEHOVAH ... AM THE ELOHIM OF ISRAEL.
5. I AM JEHOVAH ... THERE IS NO ELOHIM BESIDE
ME.
6. I AM JEHOVAH, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE.
7. I, JEHOVAH DO ALL THESE THINGS.
8. I, JEHOVAH HAVE CREATED IT.
11. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH, THE HOLY ONE OF
ISRAEL, AND HIS MAKER.
13. SAITH THE JEHOVAH OF HOSTS.
14. THUS SAITH JEHOVAH. SURELY EL IS IN THEE;
AND THERE IS NONE ELSE, THERE IS NO ELOHIM.
15. VERILY THOU ARE AN EL THAT HIDEST
THYSELF, 0 ELOHIM OF ISRAEL, THE SAVIOUR.
17. BUT ISRAEL SHALL BE SAVED IN JEHOVAH.
18. FOR THUS SAITH JEHOVAH THAT CREATED THE
HEAVENS; ELOHIM HIMSELF THAT FORMED THE
EARTH AND MADE IT... I AM JEHOVAH; AND
THERE IS NONE ELSE.
19. I, JEHOVAH SPEAK RIGHTEOUSNESS.
21. HAVE NOT I, JEHOVAH? AND THERE IS NO
ELOHIM BESIDE ME; A JUST EL AND A SAVIOUR;
THERE IS NONE BESIDE ME.
22. FOR I AM EL, AND THERE IS NONE ELSE.
24. SURELY IN JEHOVAH HAVE I RIGHTEOUSNESS
AND STRENGTH.
25. IN JEHOVAH SHALL ALL THE SEED OF ISRAEL BE
JUSTIFIED, AND SHALL GLORY.

Now read the chapter through and tell me, are Jehovah, El, and Elohim one and the same? Is there only one God? And is not that one God Creator, Saviour, and the only One to be worshipped? And did you note that in verse 23 El says something that is repeated in Ph'p 2:10? According to this, Christ is El. And El is both Elohim and Jehovah.

So although we find a great deal about the activities of the Holy Spirit in the Word, we do not learn very much about Himself. He is there all the way through. He is just as omnipresent as any other person of the Godhead.
