Except that he's not actually a Doctor. He never EARNED his Ph.D. And his FAKE Ph.D.... It's not even in any scientific area.
So he's a liar who misrepresents himself, AND he isn't qualified to make the claims he talks about AND he's in jail because he's a convicted criminal.
I find it amazing that you see this guy as some kind of hero.
And please don't refer to him as 'Dr. Hovind'. It's an insult to those of us who actually put in the work to earn a real Ph.D.. |

I get it. So flies and birds must be closely related, because each has two wings.
In fact, all of those organisms are greatly different in DNA and genes.
Someone at AIG is trolling for the ignorant who don't know the difference between genes and chromosomes. Chromosomes are just collections of genes grouped together. They don't determine inheritance, and chromosome count does not determine species.
There are, for example, humans with different numbers of chromosomes. They are still humans, because they are genetically like other humans.
Don't be so gullible.

Almost *everything* Hovind has ever written or preached is false.
I suggest you try to find out where Hovind got his 'degree'. Heck, just tell us what *area* his 'degree' is in. |

His doctorate was in Christian Education, and he got it with a laughably bad dissertation.
See, when you're trying to get a Ph.D., one of the last parts of the process is your dissertation. A dissertation is a body of new work that adds something to the field you are getting your Ph.D. in. Hovind's dissertation is naught but a rehashing of oft-refuted creationist arguments. He even admits in the first paragraph that nothing contained within his dissertation is new.
So no, he's not worthy of being called "doctor". This wouldn't even be that big of an issue (it doesn't matter what his "title" is) except that he treasures it so much. Did you know he's actually in his local phonebook as "Dr. Kent Hovind"? The only Ph.D.s that typically do this are medical doctors. To use the title "doctor" is nothing more than an attempt to use apparent credentials to sway the audience. |
