The one who posted what is above has made his position well understood. So I don't want to rehash the debate of faith and choosing. I want to seperate from that concept and just look at one simple point. Is our salvation all God. I want to hear what others think and not rehash the same debate with the same participants.
Just make it know whether you agree with this simple statement. No explanation or bringing up any man-made doctrine is necessary. DO you believe that total grace is a false doctrine? Don't complicate and convolute the issues, just say whether it is true, and maybe one reason why you feel the way you do.
I believe the statement puts an element of merit in our salvation. I did not say works, but merit, based on human reasoning. Even if you say it's 95% God's grace, and 5% of man's intervention regarding his own destiny, this is a contamination of God's grace. You might as well just say its a 50/50 proposition, because it depends both on God and man.
2Co 3:4 And we have such confidence through Christ toward God;
2Co 3:5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to reason out anything as being out of ourselves, but our sufficiency is of God,
God's grace is all-sufficient! _________________ The God of our Lord Jesus Christ give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the FULL knowledge of Him.--Eph 1:17 |
