In my last Bible study the assignment was given to us to answer the question How would you improve the/this world?

Here are my 3 suggestions.
I was hoping you would provide some too that our Bible study group might ponder.

1. Send someone something in God's name or give something away to someone you have two of.
i.e. I have two TV's and I know of someone that has none, give it to them.

2. Keep in touch with friends and family often.
i.e. Send a postcard, telephone, video message email, stop by and visit, don't let to long go before you have said hi.

3. Seek those who are lost and introduce them to Jesus/God.

Look for the depressed, the widows, the children, and the prisoners. Bless them with love and guidance in a gentle way not to condemn them but to love them with a heart to guide them to the Lord.

would love to read any ideas you have.

Hi, I am a "newbie" on this forum but not a "newbie" when it comes to getting along with others. Here is what you have to do to become succussful in getting along with others: Smile alot (which means brush your teeth at least three times a day). Wear a nice fragrance (I know this doesn't sound spiritual, but believe me, it means everything.) Call your mother frequently, but don't use your cell phone too much. Make commitments and keep them. Play with your kids (or if you don't have kids, play tennis with your peers). Keep life fresh, meaning, don't get in ruts. But most imporant of all, give God glory for all that you are. After all, you would be nothing without Him. God Bless You, pastor Jim In St. Louis, MO, USA

The ONLY way to improve this world is to give everyone a Bible, and an Exhaustive Concordance to that Bible.
And, teach them how to study the Bible (Using a concordance, properly) to find out what the truth really is.
They should start their Bible study, with the Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John....to understand the Life of Jesus Christ, who is our example to follow, in living a Christian Life.

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What things ?

6:31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed ?

The neccessities of life, will be taken care of....by those who seek the Kingdom of God and His Righteousness....FIRST !

And, since Righteousness is, the commandments of God....
Psalms 119:172 My tongue shall speak of thy word: for all thy commandments [are] righteousness.

They will have GREAT PEACE......
119:165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.

Hi Pastor Jim, "Welcome" to the board, glad to have you!
Pastor Jim, I see you live in Saint Louis Mo.
I live in a Palmyra Mo. That's about 12 miles north of Hannibal Mo, do you know where that's at?

Yes, I've been there. I love Hannibal. I as a tourist visited the famous whitewashing fence made famous by Mark Twain. God bless you and let us talk again.

Greetings 7,

The world is not going to improve! No matter what you do it is on a downward spiral toward the last trumpet sound.

II Tim 3:1-8, "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth."

The very best that we can do is to be built up in the most holy faith so that we can withstand the evil that is to come.

In Christ, Judy

True words spoken...

I continually pray to God for Him to give me the gift to do something to make non-believers, believe. What that something is, I have no idea... but the Lord knows... Very Happy

Yes, motivation is what reveals whether a person is a true Chriistian or not.

Works, are often not a reliable source to judge true Christianity.
And, that is why God says to judge no man, because no one can read the heart, but God, to know the true motivation, of anyones actions.

However, when a so-called Christian is confronted with God's 10 commandments (Exodus 20:3-17), and they are resisted, in any shape or form, THEN it is apparent as to who have been with the Lord, Jesus Christ.......
Romans 8:6 For to be carnally minded [is] death; but to be spiritually minded [is] life and peace.
8:7 Because the carnal mind [is] enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be.

Jesus Christ kept ALL 10 commandments......not because of legalism, BUT LOVE, for His Father.
There was the true motivation revealed, for the true Christian to follow.

Teaching people the Health message, as protrayed in the Bible, would eliminate diseases, much pain and suffering, also would improve the world GREATLY !

God's health message is a part of the Gospel message Jesus wants people to understand.
