Maybe he should return his Presidential Medal of Freedom...

Why do you feel bad for him?
I don't....in fact, I think alot less of him...he lacks the courage of his convictions (if he has any) and he's now "quibbling"....
I know, I know, President Clinton made it fashionable with his interesting debate about the word "is"....Harry Reid, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton have made quibbling thier profession so I shouldn't be surprised....
But my take is Tenet is simply trying to asuage his own conscience by joining the choir in the cacophony of "It wasn't me!!!! It was that evil Bush/Cheney!!!" _________________ Links of note:"Review for Doubting Christians"

I don't feel badly for him; I'm being sarcastic. I think he's a scumbag and he was willing to distort the truth at the behest of the Bush Administration, and it really hurt America. He should be punished for that.
As you say, he's obviously just trying to wash his hands of the whole affair and clean his conscience. Not to mention, he's trying to plug his new book; that probably has more to do with it. _________________ "Men never do evil so completely and cheerfully as when they do it from religious conviction."

as the chief spook at the CIA, it seems to me that there would be much to clean their hands of. Book deals with much up front money will only clear their conscience for awhile though. Compromised ideals, and back room deals in exchange for information can leave a stain a mile wide. I hope he can sleep well at night. _________________ My boss is a Jewish carpenter.
