Lone,

Quote:
God makes new bodies and sends our spirits to inhabit them.

Rom 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate [to be] conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.

We have a responsiabilty to interperet the scriptures correctly, of course we miss the mark sometimes, I know I have many times, but we have to ask for understanding.

How did you come up with reincarnation from this scripture?

Paul writes this letter to the Romans, in this chapter he is illustrating the need to walk in the spirit and not the flesh, continued from the previous chapter. He reminds them that they have the spirit of God, so they have no need to follow the flesh which is the sinful nature that was cut away when they became christians.

Paul then goes on to tell the Romans, no matter what hapens in life, God has already worked it out for your good. Like Joseph's life, he was betrayed by his brothers, but God allowed it to happen for good.

Now Paul tells us God's plan for the ones he has called to partake in Christ. It says: God knew the people he wanted to be changed to be like Christ, who is the fistborn of many brothers and sisters. And the ones he chosed, he then called them to come to him to become christians. The ones he called, he justified, and glorified them.

Romans 8:28 NIV
28And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him,[j] who[k] have been called according to his purpose. 29For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

31What, then, shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all—how will he not also, along with him, graciously give us all things? 33Who will bring any charge against those whom God has chosen? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he that condemns? Christ Jesus, who died—more than that, who was raised to life—is at the right hand of God and is also interceding for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword?

I wrote a long post. Saved it to my notepad because it was too long to post here.
I believe the dogs are the sheep and the sheep are the dogs. And what the dogs was eating was definately not good for them. They were eating from Jezebels table.
If you like I can email or pm it to you and you can look it over and consider what is written.

Once again this is taken out of the original meaning. Just Read this story about the Canaanite woman within the context of the story, dont add any cross reference scriptures to it until we understand it's meaning.

Hi saibe,

We can discuss dogs, water, bread, crumbs, scraps..who should eat them and what they are, and who's throwing what to whom.
But I believe we should take it to a different forum.
This one's athiest and their not listening anyways..LOL...

I know the story. And I know how I've been "taught" to hear it. I don't hear it like that anymore. There's a lot more going on than just what we've been told by people.
But if you want to stick with their understanding rather than search out the scriptures yourself, I can't change your mind. You do what you need to do, and I'll do what I need to do. One way or the other we're both going to end up in the same place anyhow.

You might want to check out the dogs...you might be surprised to find that they are actually the sheep.
And the sheep are the wolves who look like sheep and BAAA like sheep, but in truth are wolves.

So don't take my word for it OR anyone else's word for it. Check it out for yourself..
My sheep hear my voice...and the samaritans heard..
think about that...who couldn't hear him? The Jews...
or the ones who claim they are Jews and are not.. Wink

The ones sitting in the synagogue showing themselves that they are God...the synagogue of Satan...
the wolves in sheeps clothing, calling the sheep dogs, while the wolves put on the fleece..

You get brought up being called something long enough, you begin to believe it...But then the Light came and the truth had set them free...

God Bless saibe

Wow, the atheists sure have been putting out a lot of reading material lately:

One might say that we are in the midst of the first major atheistic enlightenment.

Atheistic enlightenmnet:

"To the unbelieving materialist, man is simply an evolutionary accident. His hopes of survival are strung on a figment of mortal imagination; his fears, loves, longings, and beliefs are but the reaction of the incidental juxtaposition of certain lifeless atoms of matter. No display of energy nor expression of trust can carry him beyond the grave. The devotional labors and inspirational genius of the best of men are doomed to be extinguished by death, the long and lonely night of eternal oblivion and soul extinction. Nameless despair is man's only reward for living and toiling under the temporal sun of mortal existence. Each day of life slowly and surely tightens the grasp of a pitiless doom which a hostile and relentless universe of matter has decreed shall be the crowning insult to everything in human desire which is beautiful, noble, lofty, and good".

....oh, I just want to go shout that from the house top!

"But such is not man's end and eternal destiny; such a vision is but the cry of despair uttered by some wandering soul who has become lost in spiritual darkness, and who bravely struggles on in the face of the mechanistic sophistries of a material philosophy, blinded by the confusion and distortion of a complex learning. And all this doom of darkness and all this destiny of despair are forever dispelled by one brave stretch of faith on the part of the most humble and unlearned of God's children on earth.

This saving faith has its birth in the human heart when the moral consciousness of man realizes that human values may be translated in mortal experience from the material to the spiritual, from the human to the divine, from time to eternity".

For the faithful:

"Now, rather, are the sons of God enlisted together in fighting the battle of reality's triumph over the partial shadows of existence. At last all creatures become conscious of the fact that God and all the divine hosts of a well-nigh limitless universe are on their side in the supernal struggle to attain eternity of life and divinity of status. Such faith-liberated sons have certainly enlisted in the struggles of time on the side of the supreme forces and divine personalities of eternity; even the stars in their courses are now doing battle for them; at last they gaze upon the universe from within, from God's viewpoint, and all is transformed from the uncertainties of material isolation to the sureties of eternal spiritual progression. Even time itself becomes but the shadow of eternity cast by Paradise realities upon the moving panoply of space".
