SOME QUESTIONS w/ REPLIES:

Who among Bible believers would say they do not know Jesus?
• All claim they know Jesus!

When ask, “Who taught/told about the identity of Jesus?”
• The answer: “Our priests, our pastors, our ministers, or by reading the Holy Bible for it is quite easy to identity JESUS.”

What do you mean by,”Jesus is the CHRIST”?
• The answer: “In many verses, it is written Jesus is the Messiah, Savior, or Redeemer.”

What do you mean by, “Jesus is the SON of the living God”?
• The answer: “Is written Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit and, therefore, clearly He is the Son of God.”

HAS THE FOLLOWING BEEN TAKEN WITH MUCH THOUGHT?

It is written, Simon Peter recognized JESUS only by the “revelation of the Father” when the people at Caesarea Philippi identified Him as, “John the Baptist: some, Elias; and others, Jeremias, or one of the prophets” (Mat 16:14).

That was when Jesus asked His Apostles:

• Mat 16:15 He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?

Simon Peter replied:

• Mat 16:16 And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the CHRIST, the SON of the living God.

• Mat 16:17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, BUT MY FATHER WHICH IS IN HEAVEN.

QUESTION:

Is it really necessary to identify JESUS “by the revelation of Father God?”

Let us remember the following rebuke of God since the Old Testament:

• Jer 4:22 For MY PEOPLE IS FOOLISH, THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN ME; they are sottish children, and THEY HAVE NONE UNDERSTANDING: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

• Joh 8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 55 YET YE HAVE NOT KNOWN HIM…

• Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: IF YE HAD KNOWN ME, YE SHOULD HAVE KNOWN MY FATHER ALSO.

Clearly the foregoing indicates the need to KNOW GOD first before LOVING HIM.

Here is the prerequisite to LOVING GOD:

• Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.

On LOVING GOD:

• Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Mat 19:17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Mar 10:18 And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? [there is] none good but one, [that is], God.

• Jer 4:22 For MY PEOPLE IS FOOLISH, THEY HAVE NOT KNOWN ME; they are sottish children, and THEY HAVE NONE UNDERSTANDING: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

seems knowing God and doing good walk hand in hand..

Do participants in this forum realize that the BOTTOM LINE for salvation is TO KNOW the One True God who is the subject of LOVE?

How many of us, while reading the following, really pondered on the intended message of our Lord?

Since the Old Testament:

• Jer 4:22 For my people is foolish, they have not known me; they are sottish children, and they have none understanding: they are wise to do evil, but to do good they have no knowledge.

During the time of Christ:

• Joh 8:54 Jesus answered, If I honour myself, my honour is nothing: it is my Father that honoureth me; of whom ye say, that he is your God: 55 Yet ye have not known him...

In our time:

• Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

ALL THE TIME!

As a prerequisite to “love of God”

• Mar 12:29 And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord.

Therefore, what does God tell us for loving Him?

• Mar 12:30 And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.

Is it not, or we prepared for this very sharp rebuke of our Lord?

• Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

• Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me...

LOVE is MUTUAL recognition/IDENTIFICATION!

Hi Sandra,

Do you mind if I ask what kind of fellowship you attend? I'm always doing research on the variety of beliefs amongst the organized religions of our day! If I were to guess from what you have posted above, I would guess that your views are similar to those of oneness pentecostals! Thanks...

jeremiah20.9,

Warning of the Apostles in:

2 Cor 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him.

The following doctrines are preached 200 after the death of our Lord:

* Sabellian doctrine or "Oneness doctrine" - teaches the name of the Father and Holy Spirit is Jesus Christ.

* Arian doctrine - teaches that Jesus is only a man and not God.

* Jehovah doctrine, a derivative of Arian doctrine - teaches that Jesus is only a mighty God for there is a supreme or Almighty God

* Trinitarian doctrine - teaches that Jesus is both God and man and He is the 2nd person of the Trinity
Arian doctrine.

I think "JESUS OF THE APOSTLES" not any of the above doctrines. The True Jesus can only identified "by the revelation of the Father," that those who recognize Him no longer are subject to the following rebuke:

* Joh 8:19 Then said they unto him, Where is thy Father? Jesus answered, Ye neither know me, nor my Father: if ye had known me, ye should have known my Father also.

Those who recognized Jesus by divine revelation are the "able ministers of the New Testament" revealed to Paul in:

2 Cor 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

Our fellowship? We have fellowship at home only, or at any convenient places, our we see our Lord and the Apostles in their time.

Would you mind sharing with me what your 'divine' revelation has revealed to you in regards to who Jesus and/or God are! As Peter did when Jesus asked him who he thought he was. Thanks...

In the Trinity we have
1)God the Father
2)Jesus, God the Son
3) The Holy Spirit

But examine the following verse........
Matthew 1:18 (King James Version)
18Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost.

So in reality, the Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus, God the Son.
So why isn't the Holy Spirit called the Father?
So if the Holy Spirit is the Father of Jesus, who is the Son of God the Father?

Question I've been asking for years Shocked

If the Holy Spirit is indeed a person then Jesus is not the son of the Father.
