I'm getting dizzy...LOL...

thanks Ana.

But now there are 22 chromosones that are the same for both for each "sock". Except the 23rd chromosone this one can vary in dad's sock.

that like saying, they both are cotton, they both have a place for the heal and a place for the toe...etc.
But the genes determine the colors and the "style" of the sock. whether it's ankle or calf or knee hi...?

This one that varies in dad's sock, determines if it's a left foot or a right foot sock?

am I even in the same ballpark here..LOL... Rolling Eyes

Almost. You have two copies of chromosome # 1, but they are not idential copies, so they aren't quite the same. Your chromosome # 1 from your father is slightly different from chromosome # 1 from your mother.

And if you have a brother, his chromosome # 1 which he got from your father might be different from your chromosome # 1 which you got from him because your father had two of them.

Of course, chromosome # 1 isn't special; the same goes for all of the other chromosomes as well.

It is also possible (although completely unlikely) to have a sibling with whom you have no chromosomes in common!

In utero, the fetus can either be male or female. Yes, the chromosome match can either be for male XY or female XX. However, God created the body to go both ways, once determined. The male has the same basics as the female, really! It is the hormones that make the difference in development. The females, lower area, can develop the same as the male. Same as above the waist.

The testosterone and the estrogen are what makes the development of these distinguishable areas become male and/or female. Like a hermaphrodite, a person born have both male and female secondary characteristics.

God created his basic master piece, and certain DNA continue to create the design he intended for that individual!

I figured I would bump this thread up. I have yet to see an even remotely plausible explanation for why men have nipples...

If God designed us and if he's perfect, then why did he mess up so badly?

I'd also like it if someone could explain why he gave us:

1. Wisdom teeth which would cause problems in almost all people if not extracted,

2. Appendices which serve no serious useful function but often become (fatally) infected,

3. A mechanism for eating and breathing that share a common tube, leading to many choking deaths each year,

4. A female reproductive system with many flaws, including the likelihood of ectopic pregnancies, which can be fatal, not to mention an opening which isn't nearly large enough to comfortably accommodate the cranium of a baby (women are the only life forms on Earth which feel pain during birth), and

5. A complete lack of redundancy in many sex-chromosome-sensitive genetic disorders such as hemophilia and color-blindness.

Does this seriously sound like *good design* to anyone here?
