Hello from Melinda

Hi there, i have joined this discussion board because I feel that i have a new motivation for my faith. This is partly because i read a really great book recently on the beginnings of christianity. It specifically outlines the cultures that christianity faced in the early days, ancient rome and greece with its violence and pagan worship etc. I can see a lot of similarities in our culture today - sexual immorality, the devaluation of human life, the objectification of women. It just goes to show that these concepts aren't new I guess! Knowing a bit about history gives me motivation to not give up, especially when I see the solid faith of many of those early christians.

I haven't yet looked at the other discussions but hope to join in on some soon.
