Hi all!
I wanted to take a minute and introduce myself. My name is Julie, I am married with children, 36. I am a paramedic and CPR/1st Aid instructor. My husband and I are working on getting a business started. I am in college full-time persuing my associate's degree in advance paramedic and possibly furthering my education with a bachelor's degree in EMS management. I am having alot of struggle as to whether I should continue with school or not. My husband feels as though it is God's will, but I'm not sure. I just read Nobby's post and it did hit home. Thanks for listening and I am so glad to have found this list.
Sincerely,
Julie |

I presume 36 is your age.

Is your husband into the type of work or career that you are pursuing?

It seems to me all the schooling you've got behind you, it would be a shame not
to finish now! But what do I know!
I would never attempt to lead you on a path that might be wrong for you. The help that your wanting can only be found thru prayer! Turn it over to God. When you pray to God He already knows your problems, but He wants to be ask!
And then there is silent prayer, we must also listen to what He has to say! That still small voice that comes into our being, and the peace you feel when you know that the Lord has spoken to you!

Julie I can only pray that the post helped you.
I wasn't going to post it, but something kept tearing at my heart to post it! So I did. God works in mysterious ways, His wonders to preform!
Julie I wish you well, and I know you & your husband will make the right dicision!
God's blessing's be upon you both.
Happy new Year,
Nobby

Welcome to our group Julie,we are happy to hear from you.
It sounds like you have a passion for the medical field and that you are really interested in taking it to the next level.
Of course this is a decision that you must feel good about, because you will be the one studying and taking tests, etc.
Because I have been in sales for all of my career, (I am 51 now) so I have been blessed to meet many wonderful people. The other side of the coin though, is that I have met many who are full of regret as to their past career choices. If you really have a passion for EMS, then, you should pursue it with that same passion.
And, in looking at your chosen career, have you thought about how many people you will get to help during possibly their worst time. Being involved in a career that helps people like EMS is a worth undertaking. I admire your zeal for it and wish you the best in your pursuit.
Please continue to post with us. You sound like your have a heart that wants to be on the right course. There's alot of terrific and insightful people here so you will meet some cool people.
Thanks for stopping in and introducing yourself. And good luck with all of that studying.
Happy New Years

Hey Nobby:
Don't you know that most women lie (a sin, I know) about their age?
Actually, I am 25 but I probably mentioned my 30 year daughter, so I had better stick to the truth.
You are a sweetie.
