The ironic thing is that if he admits that he's been impersonating Dr. Martin, everyone here will forgive him; it's the Christian thing to do.

And then he'll be able to discuss creationism to his heart's content.

Michael,

I myself am very interested in neuroscience. More precisely, I am interested in neuroscience as it applies to music cognition. If you can point to me to any good articles on this subject, I'd be very appreciative.

I'm also interested in your thesis for your PhD in neuroscience. What exactly was it about?

Dr Martin, I don't believe we've met, yet. My name is Mojo and I'm one of the moderators. Science is not my field, so I don't post much in this section, however I have been following what's been happening.

In my opinion, I find it only natural that when you introduced yourself using your credentials, that people would question the validity of them. After all, this is the internet and one never knows who they are really talking too. I dare say you did it to give credence and added weight to your posts. You have therefore somewhat put yourself in the position of being questioned on them.

However, we do have rules and these are being overstepped. I agree with you that the posters should stick to discussing the topic. If you are not who you say you are, it will come to light, therefore the business of your credentials is incidental and has been made too much of.

Personally though, if you are who you say you are, it would be a simple matter for you to stop the mouths of the critics by taking the easy way out presented by P123. Telling him the word in his e-mail can hardly compromise your privacy. Agreeing on a couple of days grace to answer if you are too busy would be fair. This is entirely up to you, though, but if you really are seeking to be recognized as credible, not doing this small thing would certainly damage that end. This is just my opinion, however.

As a moderator, I would ask P123, FFT and apoc and any I might have missed to stop the personal attacks. Each of you can make up your own minds as to Dr. Martin's claims of who he is and whether you want to converse with him. If you want to debate science, then debate science, but this business has gone too far and is disrupting the board.

I would appreciate everyone's cooperation. If not, admin or nobby will have to have the final say.

Very Happy Very Happy

I see we didn't heed any of the advice I provided last night...

I'll say again, whats to admit to.

Hey P123...I'm an imposter.... Laughing . The beauty of a phone call, right? Makes for a wonderful joke I'd say.

Give me a break, I'm Dr. Michael Martin from CSR. Get over it P.

Dr. Martin,

I would appreciate your continuance here at this forum Dr. Martin.
I prefer to discuss and debate science.
I have no intrest in your degrees nor lack of them.
Your ideas are what I'm after.
I would appreciate the opprotunity to hear of them.

Joman.

Ps. I think the only rule needed for adequate debate is to ignore what is "off topic". And, the best tactic is to edit out all uneeded comments from my own posts. It's not easy to do, however.
