Is Homosexuality alright if it consensual? Are we too harsh?

Should we restrict people from doing things if we don't personally like them?

Hi FFT,

P123 wrote:
One thing that nobody ever seems to want to talk about is exactly what the Bible does forbid with respect to homosexuality.

As I understand things, as far as the Bible is concerned, lesbians can do anything they want.

What about homosexual men, though? Is it just sodomy, or are all homosexual sex acts forbidden?

I know I ask P personally what he thought! But P123 was wondering what it says in the bible about homosexual sex acts! I simply ask him what he thought of it! Confused or disgusted

I'm just curious as to how personal preferences have anything to do with this.

It has all the world of relevance, given that Nobby wanted to know.

Now, if Nobby took P's personal preference and then attempted to argue for homosexuality or against it, he would be doing incorrectly.

But he asked a simple question: 'P, what is it that you personally like about homosexuality?'

It would be no different than me asking Nobby what his favority coffee drink is...

Quit making an issue out of a non-issue FFT.

Excuse me for anticipating. Perhaps it wasn't meant as a lead in.

It may have very well been a lead-in. But given your over anxious attack on this innocent question, you forbid it from being a lead-in. You know better. Let him lay all his cards on the table before you attack.

I humbly submit that you're reading far too much into my response.

Okay guys, you've convinced me! I guess I was over-anxious! I must not have been aware of it!

Are you serious?

I think the love beween Johnathan and the David and Johnathan in the Bible was true genuine love. A man crush if you will, but i seriously doubt it was physical. The jury is still out on whether the physical is wrong but i think that it should be avoided.

And personally, driving away of homosexuals is only done because it makes us feel better like we are super-Christians because we don't have a disproportionate amount of estrogen in our system. If we chastised liars or even males who watch the Girls Gone Wild crap commercials at night, it would be different.

When I read someone's comment about bible thumpers I knew that person isn't even interested in knowing the truth. You are just a homosexual that wants to provoke people. You can go to my web page and find out all you need to know if you are interested.

Just because the Bible doen't talk about lesbians, doesn't mean that its not a sin to be a lesbian. If people have to have everything explained them before they will believe, it usually means they just don't want to get saved or give up their sin. Like someone said about justification, that's all some people are looking for. They don't realize how real hell is.

Indeed. It's too bad I never saw the last couple of posts in it. I'm going to respond just for the hell of it.

Oh snap, the Bible isn't an objective source of morality?

That is to say, it's not, and the idea of hell as an actual place full of fire and eternal or even temporary damnation is an entirely pagan idea, right? A Greek influence on the Hellenized Jews that made it into Christianity just because it's easy to gain converts when you scare the crap out of people, right?

Right?

No, there's no way this guy actually has any freaking clue where the idea of hell came from. Shame, all that vitriol could have been useful. I mean it's useful in that any religiously-well-educated person is going to laugh their tuckus off at him, but I'd imagine that's not quite the use this guy was going for.
