Hi Folks,
Can God trust you?
| Quote: | | "Those who are trusted with something valuable must show they are worthy of that trust" 1 Corinthians 4:2 NCV |
Do we ever own anything or is it just a loan?
If I don't own it, why should I take care of it?
Because everything we have is on loan from God. It is put in our hands for a time, then will be turned over to another.
It is very important when God owns it that we take very good care of it.
What about our money?
| Quote: | | " If you are untrustworthy about worldly wealth, who will trust you with the true riches of heaven?" (Lk 16:11 NLT) |
Do we pay our Tithes? There is a direct relationship between how you use your money- and your quality of life! Think about it!
If your not 10% behind God's work, how can you be 100% behind it?
Could the way you handle your money be preventing God from blessing you more?

Mat 19:16-22
16 ¶ And, behold, one came and said unto him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
17 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.
18 He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,
19 Honour thy father and thy mother: and, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself.
20 The young man saith unto him, All these things have I kept from my youth up: what lack I yet?
21 Jesus said unto him, If thou wilt be perfect, go and sell that thou hast, and give to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven: and come and follow me.
22 But when the young man heard that saying, he went away sorrowful: for he had great possessions.
1Tim6: 1-11
1 ¶ Let as many servants as are under the yoke count their own masters worthy of all honour, that the name of God and his doctrine be not blasphemed.
2 And they that have believing masters, let them not despise them, because they are brethren; but rather do them service, because they are faithful and beloved, partakers of the benefit. These things teach and exhort.
3 If any man teach otherwise, and consent not to wholesome words, even the words of our Lord Jesus Christ, and to the doctrine which is according to godliness;
4 He is proud, knowing nothing, but doting about questions and strifes of words, whereof cometh envy, strife, railings, evil surmisings,
5 Perverse disputings of men of corrupt minds, and destitute of the truth, supposing that gain is godliness: from such withdraw thyself.
6 ¶ But godliness with contentment is great gain.
7 For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.
8 And having food and raiment let us be therewith content.
9 But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.
10 For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.
11 But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness.
Love,
Mateo
P.S. Remeber, the key phrase here is "something valuable". that ain't money. A hint... what is the pearl of great price? |

The tithe, like all other of God's ordinances is prophetic, if we will hear it.
Amos 5:3
3 For thus saith the Lord GOD; The city that went out by a thousand shall leave an hundred, and that which went forth by an hundred shall leave ten, to the house of Israel.
Isa 6:11-13
11 Then said I, Lord, how long? And he answered, Until the cities be wasted without inhabitant, and the houses without man, and the land be utterly desolate,
12 And the LORD have removed men far away, and there be a great forsaking in the midst of the land.
13 But yet in it shall be a tenth, and it shall return, and shall be eaten: as a teil tree, and as an oak, whose substance is in them, when they cast their leaves: so the holy seed shall be the substance thereof.
Neh 11:1
1 ¶ And the rulers of the people dwelt at Jerusalem: the rest of the people also cast lots, to bring one of ten to dwell in Jerusalem the holy city, and nine parts to dwell in other cities. |

I've been learning a lot from my now-19-month-old daughter about the way God loves us. Just last week I watched her rip the cover off of a book I got her. My first thought was to be angry about it. Instead, I made a mental note that she's not ready to handle books by herself but only when mommy or daddy is reading to her. It occurred to me that everything she has came from me, and she takes it all for granted. Then it dawned on me that God probably looks at me the same way. Literally everything I have--the roof over our heads, the food, the hot water, the clothing, the rifles (my toys), the furniture, the heat and A/C, the sewing machine (my wife's toy), the linens, the lawn mower, the car, etc.--came from Him and I almost always take these kinds of things for granted.

Hi Tiger,
I'm a country singer, who now sings country gospel. I sing a song.
That says "Remind Me" It says that there're many things that I love that they are dear to my heart. But that they're just borrowed & there're not mine at all. So remind me dear Lord!
We don't deserve anything that the Lord has done for us.
Even the air we breath belongs to God! Think about it!!
Now put both your hands over your nose & mouth, press tightly.
Now!! " How would you like to borrow some air???"
Remind me Lord, that you can take it away from me quickly!
Remind me Lord, to always be ready, for your call!
Remind me Lord, it's only thru Your shed blood that I'm saved!
Remind me Lord, I'm not worthy of the scars in your hands!
This thread has made me think about how small I really am in His total plan,( very humbling) but each have a place, if the Holy Spirit is in our heart. |

Thanks for the words Nobby.
Now I feel all pressured to be funny.
A three-legged horse walks into a bar.......hehehe.
On this topic, what I've been noticing more and more is how wonderfully beautiful this planet is, even in the smallest detail.
As the Word says, we learn more about who God is, simply by looking at his work, or his "paintings".
I sometimes look at even the smallest little thing, and wonder sometimes what type of person would have designed and created such beauty and perfect balance.
Even as I practice my guitar, and no, not county music Nobby-sorry , just the fact that our body responds to constant pressure on our fingertips, by creating calluses, is simply genius. How anyone with 12 brain cells can assume that it all evolved, is beyond me.
I think the key is to just resist the devils plan to stay busy, and slow down and take it all in. Simply awesome! |

| See what I mean!!.......HeHeHe..
It's amazing how all creatures are created perfect for their invirement! Man has tried to change that sometimes it works ,but many times it don't!
One time last summer, I was setting on a pond bank at a friends house in the country. As I was setting there a big grasshopper hopped on my pant leg. Well I slipped my hand close to it. Then with one quick sweep,"he was mine.
" Well sir I took that grasshopper between my thumb & first finger of my left hand. With my right hand I was touching and admiring it, one of gods perfict creations. Then he spit on me!!
From that point on I was wondering how long he would last out in front of one of the big large mouth bass that was in that pond, another one of God's perfect creations! |
