I remember P123... and I discussed this French problem over in the Islam Forum. It is a terrible situation for the French to be in. It is almost if the Nazi Brown Shirts have shown up in France 60 years later wearing a Crescent...
I'm starting to think the French just have to be the most unlucky lot of people on the face of this planet.  |

Trinity- winning in battle is not only decided in " if we have won all the little skirmishes or firefights...if that were the case...we have won and can come home...no its much deeper than that..This current war that we started is a case of America being humbled by some broke, poor uneducated insurgents that dont have the military might we do and are making some serious dents in our military efforts...
Public opinion around the world by Muslim nations, by other types of nations, all see us as the bully takin the lunch money right now...we invaded a country for oil. You can admit it or not, but therein lies the problem, and as far as spreading peace and prosperity-by who's standard? Satan himself could use the argument that you should tear a country down and rebuid it 'your way' right down to the burger king drive throughs- but the muslim nations are best left alone.
Whoopin-well trinity-we lost in vietnam right? Or are you gonna argue that we won every battle there as well-which we did-but we still lost! tons of Money lost-52000 great soldiers dead  , countless wounded and all ground taken was handed to the communists when we left....thats a loss...thats a whoopin.. 
We are seeing the same thing now- the enemy which is the muslim extremist or insurgent as some like to say-same thing-isnt going anywhere..they are patient-they fight for free or very little pay-they are willing to die for their cause- and they have the home field advantage...we have lost public support in the US by the majority-evident by the congressional election recently. We have lost public support that was already shaky to begin with from other allied countries that we usually fight along side....thats the big picture...so that is a whoopin Trinity...and just about impossible to overcome...
Solution problem cliches are just that-so here is one in jest to counteract yours,(Dont take it personal-I like to joke...  ) and as they say in texas:
"If you are diggin yourself into a hole and you need to get out of that hole because its just gettin deeper-the first thing you need to do is stop digging!"
So i prefer that one over yours-see its not all about "You are either for or against!" no- sometimes we gotta step back and evaluate our own leadership=let others poke holes in it and then heal, overcome and do right...we are a long way from that Trinity-so after your long service to your country I am sure you can agree that every leader needs to grow and change with the times...No  If the US is the world leader-well its time to take a look at our strengths and weaknesses and fixem up...
Winning hearts and minds in battle, or christianity takes example first...not rhetoric...

I'm all in favor of cracking down on Islam, but you must be aware that Daniel Pipes is an extremist in every sense of the word. He's not exactly diametrically opposed to Osama, but he's close. |

The French have not cracked down on this yet because for some reason there have been very few deaths. There has been plenty of property damage, but as soon as the Muslims in France start killing people, then you'll see a massive crackdown. |
