Hello everyone! I am new here and I just wanted to tell you all a little about myself and also say that I am very happy to have found this message board. I think it's wonderful!

I am a mom of two living in Florida. I asked Jesus to be my savior and He has been with me for 10 years now. I have never really become a member of any church and in fact learned anything that I may know from studying His Word and prayer. I always love to hear other people's views/interpretations of His Word and I am so happy to have found a place where we can all share in a non-hostile, open atmosphere. Thank you all!

Nice to meet ya. I realy think that you need to find yourself a church home, being with and learning from other Christains is great.

I believe that you should find you a home church, a church that excepts the Word as it is written in the bible, and teaches it.
The bible tells us to assemble ourselves together.

I do too. But keep an open mind and test what is read here, also it's not always non-hostile here, but most of the time! Ha!

As far as the church issue, in my experience, choosing a home church is like voting for president.

I've also observed many Christians who are planted in a local church, but have no relationship with the Lord of their own,
no prayer and study life. So which is worse?

I can't blame anyone who's honestly seeking God and His truth, who discovers they don't really fit in most churches.

If you are looking for one, I wish you well and hope you can find one where you fit.

Hello Sole Searcher,
I am new here too, new today in fact. I liked your contribution and just have a comment to make about your not being a member of a church. Ephesians 1:22-23 says that the church is the body of Christ. Ephesians 4:11-16 tells us how the body is to become what Christ wants.I read that as meaning it can only happen when your spiritual gifts are joined to those of others in a local fellowship. Thank you all for the welcome. Please understand that when I say I haven't joined a church yet it is not because I don't think it's a good idea. Rather, I honestly had no time as I was a single mom working two jobs which pretty much just took Sundays and Wednesdays.

Recently I have moved to Florida and I am in the proccess of a church looking for a where both my kids and I can grow.

Zathrus, you pretty much nailed another issue with me when you said "I can't blame anyone who's honestly seeking God and His truth, who discovers they don't really fit in most churches." It's where I am at right now. *shrugs* Buuut, I keep lookin!

Where are all the bible-reading Christians???
