One thing that religion definitely has going for it is the host of beautiful music that is inspired by the fervor of religious belief.
I have a lot of exposure, in particular, to Christian music. I'm thinking here mostly of children's songs (such as the Papaya Song, Awesome God, I Lift My Eyes Up - links to lyrics do not do the melodies justice, I know), choir songs and hymns (Ave Maria - just the tip of the iceberg), and a lot of classical music. The melodies are amazing, and the lyrics are nice too.
One of the nice things about singing these songs is that they're often group songs, so you get the added benefit of being a part of something bigger, aside from the aesthetic value of the songs themselves. _________________ Truth doesn't care about theology, and theology doesn't care about truth. |

Ana, I play a keyboard every Sunday morning & evening. On Wed. I play a guitar & lead a short song service, I always seem to get such a blessing from it!
Glad to hear that you love music! I have a keyboard setup at home & I play most every day.
God bless you Ana,
Nobby |

Praise is the highest form of prayer.
I would much rather play my recorder (and didg) in prophetic praise and worship than even post.
Yehu
(Nobby, we'll do that duet sometime soon.) _________________ There must be a God; Natural Selection would have gotten rid of you a long time ago. |
