I've heard the Bible saying "We trust in man and not God" and I really want to know if that is what I'm doing. I admit, I am a baby in Christ and there are a lot of things that I don't know about. The reason why I bring this up is this.
I have a therapist that I talk to about certain things, well everything when I need to, and just recently we talked about my daughters father and our relationship. And my therapist told me that because of the situation, which is not a bad one that I need to separate myself from my child's father, we don't live together or anything, but anyways, I've had certain different people tell me to pray and leave it to God, because I dont' want to stop seeing my child's father. Where do I go to find out what the Lord says? |

Whew, that's one I'm not sure of. Not knowing particulars of your situation, I'd personally hesitate to give you any specific answer.
Some questions I have, (just a yes or no will suffice)
1. Is your therapist a Christian?
2. Does he/she believe in the Word of God?
3. Are you married to the man in question, or is he simply a boyfriend/friend that you stay in contact with?
To answer this question: Where do I go to find out what the Lord says? I'll have to get back to you on the most specifc part of that.
I would agree that you should Give it to God, and allow Him to supply you his answer. |
