|

Hi,
My name is Steven and I have been looking over the bible discussion website and making some posts the last week or so.
If there is any interest, I would be willing to start a verse by verse Bible Study Group that goes through the entire bible verse by verse, book by book. Once the group had gone through the entire bible it could be sealed, or maybe once we had finished with each book it could be sealed and placed in the appropriate section.
I do a verse by verse survey study on my own each day and would love to moderate or contribute to a similar kind of study at this Forum.
I would have to work out the study rules, such as the freqency in which we would work through each book, how many posts per week I would make and then when we would move on. Probably a few chapters a week in a given book and then I would post questions for everyone to comment on in a discussion section. Maybe some activities for application, etc.
There are 1189 chapters in the bible. We would have to set the chapter number / week differently for each book. Especially for the New Testament letters. But, if we did 5 chapters per week in Genesis it would be finished in 10 weeks. (Just as an example).
Unfortunately, I'm not sure if there is a large interest in such a study. But I am willing to commit to it if the moderators are willing to provide the space. Even if it incites someone to just read the bible for themselves from cover to cover that is worth it to me.
You can find my statement of faith here:

And examples of my topical studies here:

I have the book of Revelation Study posted here:

Sincerely,
Steven |

Hi Steven,
You can start discussion on topics of your choice in our public bible study forum. I'm looking forward to reading it. _________________ Cybermonsters (Most Beloved Admin)

Hey Natalya,
I haven't started yet, but when I do it will be at the following egroup:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/housechurchesoforegon/
The meeting at our house is now starting a series of studies I guess you could call the "apostles' doctrine" since we are convicted to study the bible as the church did during the period in Acts 2:42.
This week I will be deciding on an outline of the texts we will be covering. Most likely book by book, chapter by chapter, verse by verse, integrating into a fluid whole and focusing on the reality of its application in our own lives in the "real world" (our daily interaction with non believers and believers).
So, if you are still interested, sign up and we will go from there.
En Christos,
Steven |
