HGP,
Here's an interesting thought.
John 5 gives proof that Jesus and his Father are two different persons.
31 “If I alone bear witness about myself, my witness is not true.
Why did Jesus say this?
Deut 19:15 “No single witness should rise up against a man respecting any error or any sin, in the case of any sin that he may commit. At the mouth of two witnesses or at the mouth of three witnesses the matter should stand good.
2 witnesses.Jesus was one,who was the other?
Jesus continues:32 There is another that bears witness about me, and I know that the witness which he bears about me is true.
37 Also, the Father who sent me has himself borne witness about me.
So the two witnesses Jesus was refering to were himself and his Father. Can we be sure this is what he meant?
(John 8:18) I am one that bears witness about myself, and the Father who sent me bears witness about me.”
Yea.I guess we can be sure.2 witnesses,2 different persons.By Jesus saying this he is proving he is not the Father, but a different person. _________________ Agape,
