Hello everyone,
Someone once said, if you were arrested and
brought before the court for being a Christian! Could they win their case?
---------------------
When I was saved I was setting at home listening to service on the tube. Next thing I was on my knees cring like a baby. At that moment that's exactly what I was! A baby in Christ. I been growing ever sinse! Whith lots
of mistakes. We never quit growing in Christ
if we do His will.
As soon as I ask Chist into my life I couldn't wait to go to church the next Sunday, so I could go forward and do it all over again before those in my church!
My life has never been the same! I have a peace that I had never felt before.
---------------------
I know that a lot of christian people believe that once saved always saved.
But I do not believe that! I will leave that there and look up scripture later. I will also tell of a personal bout with this!
God Bless You All,
Nobby |

I think being saved means being saved from the wrath of God, from God's just punishment of me for all the sins I have committed and will commit. Rather than face God's perfect justice and His wrath, I accepted God's gift of mercy and forgiveness by turning from my self directed life to God and an effort to do His will. I put my trust in Christ and rely totally on him for my life, now and forever. And I believe when I accepted Christ, I was baptised by the Spirit into Christ and am saved forever.
For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor ANY OTHER created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:28-29

Sometimes I forget that it is because of Him that I have the gift of eternal life with Him. Yet my faith is so very small when compared to what Christ deserves from me. Van said something that I kind of struggle with and that is He trusts Him to take care of his life. I am not quoting it exactly, but I think I am kind of close. (sorry if I messed the thought up)
Each day I pray that God will reign in my life and that I will have total faith and trust in His Will for my life. But the truth is, that is tough because things come up and I just think wow, this is up to me. I am in sales and self employed, so I have this personality that is self sufficent. And boy, that is not good where Christ is concerned. I work on that each day because I just know that this is what the Holy Spirit wants for me to be. Dependent not self sufficent. It seems the more sufficent I am, the more God shows me that this is not what He wants. I am reminded of Christ saying that we must come to Him like a little child. My struggle is not salvation, but being conformed to His likeness.
I came across something recently in my study that has made me more aware of this and that is that the first sin was really one of self-sufficiency. When Eve put her wants and will in place of God's directives for her life, she became what alot of Christian's struggle with I guess. God said, trust me, believe in what I am telling you. I am taking care of you now and I will in the future. But she didn't do that, rather she started trusting in herself. The first sign of humanisim seems to happened in the garden with Adam and Eve.I guess this human weakness goes way back.
So for me, I believe that it is because of Him, because I am not capable of doing good enough. It is because of His faith, and my obedience and submission that salvation is real.
So thanks for your comments and a great reminder Van.
God Bless,
V |

| My opinion is that Jesus paid it all.If he didn't there would have been no need for his sacrifice. If you can lose your position than how to you get it back?Through your own works?Yes I believe you can walk away from God but not your salvation. Why?Because we have a loving God and Father and once we become one of His children we are always His children no matter how stupidly we act and no matter if we no longer even want Him.Because He knows our hearts and He will always love us.We could never ever in a million lifetimes to anything to earn what He's freely given us.And yes even if you are truly Born again you can backslide. Its called sin.And this too is forgiven us.The most important thing to remember is God knows your heart.GOD KNOWS YOUR HEART.And He can never be fooled.Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice on my behalf.Thank you for the security I always have.Thank you for paying it all and thank you for accepting me,a miserable sinner as your child.Amen. |

to me...being saved is to have a true grasp and understanding of the one who died for you, the one that you're living for. if ya erally wanna knnow my story then just ask.....i dont have the time right now to type it all out....but i think that if you have a REAL relationship with Jesus Christ, you won;t stray away from it
