I took this from the creation/evolution thread. The comments that SDMD made were interesting..
Specially about the bald locust. In the book of revelation were told about locusts with hair as women...
maybe there is something hiding in the hair ??
Night hawk and lapwing..
Quote:
Lev 11:16 And the owl, and the night hawk, and the cuckow, and the hawk after his kind,
Multiple species of each here as well. Only one genus of nighthawk, however.
Quote:
Lev 11:19 And the stork, the heron after her kind, and the lapwing, and the bat.
Multiple stork species, multiple herons, only ONE lapwing species which is member of a bigger Genus.
Quote:
Lev 11:22 [Even] these of them ye may eat; the locust after his kind, and the bald locust after his kind,
Still single and few species. The bald locust seems to be a special locust. Why does it need specific mentioning?
Thats a good question..
Rev 9:7 And the shapes of the locusts [were] like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads [were] as it were crowns like gold, and their faces [were] as the faces of men.
Rev 9:8 And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as [the teeth] of lions.
Rev 9:9 And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings [was] as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle.
Rev 9:10 And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power [was] to hurt men five months.
