Purifies with fire.

In the new testement Jesus uses the word fire alot he comes baptizing with fire, he brings division and fire to the earth. He is Gods wrath for the people who sin. Jesus is the gate he will bring us home safely although the bible says we must all go through the fire to be purified. The people that truely belong to God will come out unharmed, But the rest that dont belong to God will burn!

This reminds me alot of when God saved The people from egypt. When he took us all out of slavery.
But here we are again a slave, but now to sin because it is sins land we live in. But i believe God will free us excactly the way he did from egypt but instead of walking through water we will walk through fire. the walls around us will be fire but we will be unharmed.

When Pharaoh the king of Egypt tried to stop Isreal from leaving this is what happend.
Quote:
10As Pharaoh and his army approached, the people of Israel could see them in the distance, marching toward them. The people began to panic, and they cried out to the LORD for help.

11Then they turned against Moses and complained, "Why did you bring us out here to die in the wilderness? Weren't there enough graves for us in Egypt? Why did you make us leave? 12Didn't we tell you to leave us alone while we were still in Egypt? Our Egyptian slavery was far better than dying out here in the wilderness!"

13But Moses told the people, "Don't be afraid. Just stand where you are and watch the LORD rescue you. The Egyptians that you see today will never be seen again. 14The LORD himself will fight for you. You won't have to lift a finger in your defense!"

Escape through the Red Sea
15Then the LORD said to Moses, "Why are you crying out to me? Tell the people to get moving! 16Use your shepherd's staff--hold it out over the water, and a path will open up before you through the sea. Then all the people of Israel will walk through on dry ground. 17Yet I will harden the hearts of the Egyptians, and they will follow the Israelites into the sea. Then I will receive great glory at the expense of Pharaoh and his armies, chariots, and charioteers. 18When I am finished with Pharaoh and his army, all Egypt will know that I am the LORD!"

19Then the angel of God, who had been leading the people of Israel, moved to a position behind them, and the pillar of cloud also moved around behind them. 20The cloud settled between the Israelite and Egyptian camps. As night came, the pillar of cloud turned into a pillar of fire, lighting the Israelite camp. But the cloud became darkness to the Egyptians, and they couldn't find the Israelites.

21Then Moses raised his hand over the sea, and the LORD opened up a path through the water with a strong east wind. The wind blew all that night, turning the seabed into dry land. 22So the people of Israel walked through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on each side! 23Then the Egyptians--all of Pharaoh's horses, chariots, and charioteers--followed them across the bottom of the sea. 24But early in the morning, the LORD looked down on the Egyptian army from the pillar of fire and cloud, and he threw them into confusion. 25Their chariot wheels began to come off, making their chariots impossible to drive. "Let's get out of here!" the Egyptians shouted. "The LORD is fighting for Israel against us!"

26When all the Israelites were on the other side, the LORD said to Moses, "Raise your hand over the sea again. Then the waters will rush back over the Egyptian chariots and charioteers." 27So as the sun began to rise, Moses raised his hand over the sea. The water roared back into its usual place, and the LORD swept the terrified Egyptians into the surging currents. 28The waters covered all the chariots and charioteers--the entire army of Pharaoh. Of all the Egyptians who had chased the Israelites into the sea, not a single one survived.

29The people of Israel had walked through the middle of the sea on dry land, as the water stood up like a wall on both sides. 30This was how the LORD rescued Israel from the Egyptians that day. And the Israelites could see the bodies of the Egyptians washed up on the shore. 31When the people of Israel saw the mighty power that the LORD had displayed against the Egyptians, they feared the LORD and put their faith in him and his servant Moses.

That is how I believe we will get across the fire,
we are walking that path now.

I could definately see this, though I havent got all the details mapped out heres a verse that goes with that line of thought.

Isaiah 4:4 When the Lord shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from the midst thereof by the spirit of judgment, and by the spirit of burning.

Supposing the "Refiners Fire"? Trying our faith which is more precious then gold which perishes.

Here Christina, Heres some great verses that can help pull this together for you even more. As Christ divided the people as Truth comes and brings a Sword or as Moses divides the waters (People) so also does He divide the flames of fire. Its in here somewheres, I just pulled some fire references from one of my documents (which are a complete mess) but I see what your seeing.

Dan 3:25 He answered and said, Lo, I see four men loose, walking in the midst of the fire, and they have NO HURT; and the form of the fourth is like the Son of God.

(When we walk through the fire?)

Psalm 6:27 Can a man take fire in his bosom, and his clothes not be burned? This answer is YES

Dan 3:26 Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, came forth of the midst of the fire.

Dan 3:27 saw these men, upon whose bodies the fire had no power, nor was an hair of their head singed, neither were their coats changed, nor the smell of fire had passed on them.

Fire that does not Physically burn

Exodus 3:2 the bush burned with fire, and the bush [was] not consumed.

Exodus 24:17 And the SIGHT of the glory of the LORD WAS LIKE devouring FIRE on the top of the mount in the eyes of the children of Israel.

***Numbers 31:23 Every thing THAT MAY ABIDE IN THE FIRE, YE SHALL MAKE IT GO THROUGH THE FIRE, and IT SHALL BE CLEAN: nevertheless it shall be purified with the water of separation: and all that abideth not the fire ye shall make go through the water.

Duet 4:24 For the LORD thy God [is] a consuming FIRE, [even] a jealous God.

Deut 4:33 Did [ever] people hear the voice of God speaking out of the MIDST OF THE FIRE, as thou hast heard, and live?

***Psalm 29:7 The voice of the LORD divideth the flames of fire. (As He divideth the waters)

They were afraid because of the fire here

Duet 5:5 afraid by reason of the fire

Duet 5:24 heard his voice out of the midst of the fire: we have seen this day that God doth talk with man, and he liveth.

This is what they thought about the fire

Duet 5:25 Now therefore why should we die? for this great fire will consume us

2Sam 22:9 There went up a smoke out of his nostrils, and fire out of his mouth devoured: coals were kindled by it. (Smoke are people, actually self righteous people I left a verse above showing it)

1Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; [but] the LORD [was] not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.
The voice of the Lord is likened to the voice of many waters (people) these are seen also as his servents (flames of fire) (hailstones which are cold to Him and coals of fire believers Hot)

Psalm 18:13 The LORD also thundered in the heavens, and the Highest gave his voice; hail [stones] and coals of fire.

Psalm 39:3 My heart was hot within me, while I was musing the fire burned: [then] spake I with my tongue

Psalm 57:4 My soul [is] among lions: [and] I LIE AMONG THEM THAT ARE SET ON FIRE

Going through the fire

Psalm 66:12 Thou hast caused men to ride over our heads; WE WENT THROUGH THE FIRE and through water: but thou broughtest us out into a wealthy [place].

Psalm 68:2 As smoke is driven away, [so] drive [them] away: as wax melteth before the fire, [so] let the wicked perish at the PRECENCE of God.

Prov An ungodly man diggeth up evil: and in his lips [there is] as a burning fire. (Tongue is a fire in James)

Isaiah 10:17 And the light of Israel shall be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame: and it shall burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day;

Isaiah 30:27 Behold, the name of the LORD cometh from far, burning [with] his anger, and the burden [thereof is] heavy: his LIPS are full of indignation, and his TONGUE as a devouring fire:

Isaiah 33:11 your breath, [as] fire, shall devour you

Isaiah 33:14 The sinners in Zion are afraid; fearfulness hath surprised the hypocrites. Who among us shall dwell with the devouring fire? who among us shall dwell with everlasting burnings?

Heres someone totally unaware that Hes set on fire (Gods fury on Him) Here He’s even BURNED and doesn’t know it)

Isaiah 42:25 Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, YET HE KNEW IT NOT; and it BURNED HIM, yet he laid [it] not to heart.

Isaiah 43:2 When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.

that sure is a LOT of fire. there were two swords of fire at the entrance to eden & adam & eve could not get back in there.

and to think, so many will never know this Word is ALIVE!

Acts 2:3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.

The Word is like a fire.

I like the burning bush to Moses & the pillar of fire by night & cloud by day when they escape Egypt. That just always amazes me.

I love the "cloud" part Smoke, Very Happy Wink

Remember Jesus going up in a "cloud" by day before their eyes until He was hid from their sight?

Wonder where He went?

He went "before" them, and now they stand "before Him" (So wheres His position if the glory of the Lord is their REAR gaurd?) Razz

You will hear a voice BEHIND YOU saying, "This is the way, walk ye in it"
