Debating the matter of God's Law is difficult with out seperating the two natures of a saved individual.
The old, sinful nature vs. The new, born again, sinless nature:
Our sinful or carnal nature must fulfill the requirements of the law, but cannot, so it is condemed to death. (Our flesh is going to die.)
Our sinless or spiritual nature must also fulfill the requirements of the law, which Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior has fulfilled for us. As a result our spirit stands sinless before God, and we are given eternal life.
When considering our two natures, all that is written about the law in the scriptures, flows with continuity.
Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfill. _________________ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. |

Romans 7:7 "What shall we say then? [is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet".
The only one who can be sinless are those who keep 'all' 10 commandments !
And that, includes the 4th commandment (Exodus 20:8-11). _________________ Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. |

Yes Silver, it is the law that defines sinfulness and sinlessness.
The law is written upon our spiritual hearts, therefore our spiritual nature is aware that Jesus has made us sinless. _________________ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. |

Silver, I suppose you can attempt to follow the whole letter of the law, if you like. I myself have not been led by the Spirit to exhaustively study and specifically try to follow all 617 points of law as outlined in the bible. At least not yet.
I just recently memorized the ten commandments. I thought that I knew them, but I didn't realize I couldn't recite them until a buddy asked me what they were.
I have some family members who know, as you and I do, that our salvation is not conditional on following laws, but they have chosen to follow some laws beyond the 10 commandments, such as not eating pork, participating in celebrations outlined in the bible, and some others. They tell me that what Jesus did on the cross, removed the curse for not following the law, but that the blessing for following the law still remains. The curse and the blessings are both talked about in the bible.
So it seems to me that if you follow the law in the right frame of mind or in the spirit, and not because you're trying to proof yourself worthy, that you're doing right. Well....there are a couple of points to consider though.........We need to arrange in order of priority, what point of the word we will study. Hopfully the Spirit will guide us in this. Study of the entire bible is important, but we have to start somewhere. Dont sift out gnats while letting camels go by............And do not take love out of the equation. In fact love needs to be the foundation of all things we do.....of all things we consider........God is Love. It's this foundation of love, that if we could fully understand and adopt it, would put us right in-line with the law.
Check out Matt 22:37-40, and Matt 5:17. _________________ The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Ghost, be with you all. Amen. |

Christians are not to keep the 10 commandments, in order to love God.....they keep them, 'BECAUSE', they love God. _________________ Matthew 5:11 Blessed are ye, when [men] shall revile you, and persecute [you], and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. |
