Jehovah's Witnesses believe and states that Jesus is not God.

The Bible, THE WORD OF GOD, cleary says that Jesus is God...

1 John 5:20

"And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life." - KJV

"We know also that the Son of God has come and has given us understanding, so that we may know him who is true. And we are in him who is true--even in his Son Jesus Christ. He is the true God and eternal life." -NIV

"And we [have seen and] know [positively] that the Son of God has [actually] come to this world and has given us understanding and insight [progressively] to perceive (recognize) and come to know better and more clearly Him Who is true; and we are in Him Who is true--in His Son Jesus Christ (the Messiah). This [Man] is the true God and Life eternal." -AMP

Jesus is God.

Colossians 2:9

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." -KJV

"For Christ is not only God, He is God in human flesh." -NLV

"For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]." -AMP

Jesus was God when He was on earth (Col. 2:9)
(When Jesus was on earth He was 100% man and 100% God.)

Jesus is God.

Jehovah's Witnesses also do not believe in trinity.

Inthe Bible it cleary says that the trinity is true...

The Bible, THE WORD OF GOD, says the Trinity is true...

1 John 5:7 "For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one."
- KJV

God is the Father... (2nd Peter 1:17)
Jesus is the Word... (John 1:1,14)
The Holy Ghost is the Holy Spirit... (Acts 2:4)

There it is in the Word of God. God said it.

The Trinity is true.

God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit are one.

God is God. (Genesis 2:4)
Jesus is God. (1 John 5:20)
The Holy Spirit is God. (Acts 5:3-4)
They are one. (1 John 5:7)

Now, since you have already made a similair post to this in the Trinity forum, I will not repeat that again. Yet, I will ask you again, what proof do you have that your inference about 'this' being reference to the Son, rather than to the Father who is God??

Quote:
Colossians 2:9

"For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily." -KJV

"For Christ is not only God, He is God in human flesh." -NLV

"For in Him the whole fullness of Deity (the Godhead) continues to dwell in bodily form [giving complete expression of the divine nature]." -AMP

Quote:
Because in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead [or, Deity] bodily,
(Col 2:9 ALT)

All I see is all of God dwelling within this man, Christ Jesus. Prove your inference! The NLV is a dynamic equivalince not a literal translation.

Hello there metothezero, i'm new here! Laughing

Revelation 22:1 - And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.
Revelation 22:3 - And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it; and his servants shall serve him:

Both verses above clearly state that there is only one throne and not thrones signifying ONE GOD. Unless Jesus and God are scooched up against each other! Laughing Laughing Laughing

John 15:5 - I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
Ye can do NOTHING! IF Jesus is not God, then you can do something with GOD, but since you cannot do anything without Jesus, that would have to make Him God, very simply understood.

Revelation 19:16 - And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.
Need I say more? 8)

Psalms 106:21 - They forgat God their saviour, which had done great things in Egypt;
Even to this day some still fail to recognize God their Saviour. Crying or Very sad

Isaiah 43:11 - I, even I, am the LORD; and beside me there is no saviour.
Deuteronomy 6:4 - Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God is one LORD:
Zechariah 14:9 - And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one.

All above passages refer to One Lord and One Saviour, and Zecheriah states that The Lord of the Old Testament will be King over all the Earth, now is it that will be King over all the EARTH?
JESUS!

Furthermore read here:
Zechariah 14:4 - And his feet shall stand in that day upon the mount of Olives, which is before Jerusalem on the east, and the mount of Olives shall cleave in the midst thereof toward the east and toward the west, and there shall be a very great valley; and half of the mountain shall remove toward the north, and half of it toward the south. GOD OF THE OLD TESTAMENT

COMPARE:

Revelation 14:1 - And I looked, and, lo, a Lamb stood on the mount Sion, and with him an hundred forty and four thousand, having his Father's name written in their foreheads. GOD OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

SAME GOD! Laughing

2 Timothy 1:10 - But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

1 Timothy 2:3 - For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour;

Revelation 21:22 - And I saw no temple therein: for the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.
One Temple and ONE GOD!

The same should be with every born again believer, the Lord God almighty and the Lamb should be within the temple of your body.

Don't mind the Huge Print, it's there for a reason.

Quote:
And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive: For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them. Matthew 13:14,15

How is J... Witness beliefs any more false than any other Christian religion ?

For little do the detractors of the J... Witness beliefs bother to tell us, but that at leat the majority of the JW beliefs are directly shared with other Christian religions of our time and previous.

In fact, might i point out that the beliefs of Christianity have been evolving ever since the days of Iesus. If anyone was to investigate the beliefs of the early church, then they would fid a totally, and unrecognisable set of "Christian" beliefs from those of modern Christianity.

The core of Christian belief is the Gospel of Christ. The completed work of Christ to effect our salvation.

Jesus Christ, God incarnate, lived a human life with all of our trials and temptations, but did it sinlessly, He died as a sacrifice for us, in our place; paving the way for our righteousness through Him, and He rose from the dead, paving the way for our eternal life with God.

He reconciled us with God, by God's Grace, through our faith in Him, and our faith in Him alone.

You ask "How is J... Witness beliefs any more false than any other Christian religion ?" and I tell you, that the other beliefs are false because they do not begin and end with the Gopel of Christ, they add to it, detract from it, or ignore it completely.

We do not have a 'gospel +', there is nothing we can do, no work we can perform, for our salvation. Our salvation is a free gift of God, His grace upon us that is recieved through our faith in Christ Jesus, nothing more, nothing less.

Any religion, any denomination, any belief system that teaches anything different than that is by definition, false.

According to Paul, yet G-d states:
(Deu 5:32 Webster) Ye shall observe to do therefore as the LORD your God hath commanded you: ye shall not turn aside to the right hand or to the left.
(Deu 5:33 Webster) Ye shall walk in all the ways which the LORD your God hath commanded you, that ye may live, and that it may be well with you, and that ye may prolong your days in the land which ye shall possess.

Again Paul's teachings contradict the teachings of G-d.

According to Paul, on the other hand Iesus taught:[/color[color=red]](Mat 5:19 Webster) Whoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whoever shall do, and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

The teachings of Iesus agrees with the teachings of G-d, and call Paul a heritic.

Specifically to DYKJ,

The Bible doesn't say Jesus is God,but God's Son.
1 John 5:20 is not saying the Son is God, but that we are in union with the true God by means of his Son,Jesus Christ.

You say:"Jesus was God when He was on earth (Col. 2:9)
(When Jesus was on earth He was 100% man and 100% God.) "

Mine:If Jesus was God explain John 14:28 YOU would rejoice that I am going my way to the Father, because the Father is greater than I am

Regarding 1 John 5:7 First of all This quote of 1 John 5:7 is not even included in many translations.RS,NE,TEV JB,NAB,and others leave this passage out.Why do you suppose that is?
Even if this passage were in the original writtings,it is really not saying anything more than that these three are in agreement,or united .Not necessarily all three part of a godhead.Just like Jesus said at John 17:20,21 that He and the Father are one and he prayed that his disciples would be one with them. Not all part of God,but all in agreement, united.

You said:"The Bible, THE WORD OF GOD, says the Trinity is true... "

Mine:The Bible does not use the word trinity, nor is it's idea contained in the Bible.Notice what the Bible does say:::
John 1:17 No man has seen God at any time
DID PEOPLE SEE JESUS?SO CAN JESUS BE GOD?

John 17:3 Jesus In prayer to his Father "3 This means everlasting life, their taking in knowledge of you, the only true God, and of the one whom you sent forth, Jesus Christ. "

John 20:17 17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’”

This is what the apostles believed 1 Cor 8:6 6 there is actually to us one God the Father, out of whom all things are, and we for him; and there is one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things are, and we through him.

Revelation 1:1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,

All these verses show God and Jesus are seperate individuals. No matter what translation you use.

If this isn't clear enough lets try some more scriptures.

Col 1:13 He delivered us from the authority of the darkness and transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of his love, 14 by means of whom we have our release by ransom, the forgiveness of our sins. 15 He is the image of the invisible God, the [size=18]firstborn of all creation[/size]; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist, 18 and he is the head of the body, the congregation. He is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, that he might become the one who is first in all things;

JESUS IS BOTH FIRSTBORN OF ALL CREATION AND FIRSTBORN FROM THE DEAD SO THAT HE MAY BE FIRST IN ALL THINGS.WHAT WE FOCUS ON FOR THIS DISCUSSION IS FIRSTBORN OF ALL CREATION.

REV 3:14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,

THE BEGINNING OF THE CREATION BY GOD.YES JESUS WAS CREATED.AND THE FATHER IS GOD TO JESUS.

JOHN 20:17 Jesus said to her: “Stop clinging to me. For I have not yet ascended to the Father. But be on your way to my brothers and say to them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and YOUR Father and to my God and YOUR God.’

ROM 15: 6 that with one accord YOU may with one mouth glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.

2 COR 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of tender mercies and the God of all comfort,

11:31 The God and Father of the Lord Jesus

EPH 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

1 PET 1:3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ

REV 1:To him that loves us and that loosed us from our sins by means of his own blood— 6 and he made us to be a kingdom, priests to his God and Father

GOD THE FATHER APPEARES 18 TIMES IN THE BIBLE.

GOD THE SON APPEARES 0 TIMES IN THE BIBLE.

The Bible makes it clear that the Father is God and Jesus is God's Son,not God the Son.There is no Trinity in the Bible. It took hundreds of years for this doctrine to develop after the Apostles died. Now people use ambiguous verses to try to prove it came from the Bible, when it clearly didn't.
