"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...seeing that they have forgotten the Law of thy God".
THe true Christian understands this Bible verse:
"The Law of the Lord is PERFECT...converting the soul", (Psalms 19:7).
The true Bible student understands the role the 10 commandments(Exodus 20:3-17) plays in the born-again experience. |

Not again
SS, are you on a rotation? Are we to be once again subjected to the same posts? Once every other month or so you pop in and post the exact same thing as you did before - to what end? Your conclusions have be shown through scripture to be erroneous, why then do you not read and study the entirety of the Word and pray for true understanding of the Word of God rather than focusing on the pruned versions of scripture you cling to to try to support your false teachings and you anti-Christ message? |

Actually, I quite agree with each of Silver Surfer's statements.
He's left them open ended enough and without any elaboration on his part, so that taken on their own, I can't disagree.
It is important to understand the role of the law in God's plan for mankind. I don't think SS would say that I have a correct understanding of it, but I don't think he does either. |

| Hi SS, that's true, people do need to learn a lot more, but unfortunately they are quite satisfied not knowing. |

Grace. Read about it, then talk about what "needs to understand the conditions that 'must' be met, if they would gain eternal life"
A doctrine of works-based salvation is what you teach and it contravenes scripture and the gift of eternal salvation "for by grace are you saved, through faith, not by works, lest any man should boast." |

And God tells us about that in Hosea 4:6.
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge...seeing that they have forgotten the Law of thy God".
I like to think of the Bible as this:
B-Basic
I-Instructions
B-Before
L-Leaving
E-Earth
Those that refuse to understand those instuctions, set forth by God ...will not be allowed into heaven. |

A doctrine of works-based salvation is what you teach and it contravenes scripture and the gift of eternal salvation "for by grace are you saved, through faith, not by works, lest any man should boast." | Point #1.) "By whom we have received grace....for obedience....to the faith...among all nations", (Romans 1:5).
AGAIN: "The grace of God brings salvation....TEACHING US....we should live righteously and godly...IN THIS PRESENT WORLD..", (Titus 2:11-15).
Grace is God's free gift....the Bible says that.
God knows no man can obey what He says for them to do, in their own human strenght...so God gives to men the power to obey him...'Grace'.
For example: men have an almost impossible time controlling their own thoughts, but thru grace (God's power to obey), the following scripture applies:
"Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against God....bringing into captivity, 'every thought' ..to the 'obedience' of Christ", (2 Corinthians 10:5).
What man could boast of doing such a thing as that ?
BUT...God says that He can...thru the power which He alone can provide...'Grace'.
That's why no man can keep the 7th day Sabbath in their own strenght...to obey.....BECAUSE it takes 'grace' (God's power to obey) to do such as thing as that.
Sabbath observance without God's power of Grace...is mere works...human works, and is worthless !
But, when God provides grace to Sabbath keeping, only then, does become acceptable to God. |

Quite true! For example, the true Bible student understands:
2 Cor 3:7 But if the ministration of death, written and engraven in stones, was glorious, so that the children of Israel could not stedfastly behold the face of Moses for the glory of his countenance; which glory was to be done away:
The true Bible student also understands
Romans 7:6,7 6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.
"Thou shalt not covet" was one of the Big 10, was it not?
SS you're quite right. It certainly is important to understand the role of the 10 commandments in our born again experience. |

And the dragon (Satan) was angry with the woman (church) and went to make ...WAR..with those who keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ", (Revelation 12:17). |

No need to worry, SS, the last thing I am is angry. I found your last post very amusing.
And no need to flatter yourself by considering my posts persecution by the devil. I'm just a student of God's Word who's done his homework. |

I'm just a student of God's Word who's done his homework. | Satan only attacks the people who keep the commandments of God because as long as they are obedient to God's Law they are committing no known sins whereby Satan has any control over them.
As scriptures says: :Whosoever committs sin is the servant of sin", ( John 8:34).
"He that commits sin is of the devil", (1 John 3:8).
Jesus said: 'go and sin no more'.
Satan says: NO ! You cannot stop from sinning. |

| I give up, I have repeatly given you the meaning here but you again post the same message. Paul is not doing away with the commandments. What He is saying is, through the commandments we understand what sin is, but through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ we no longer must face death which is the punishment for sin, for Christ freed us from the punishment of death. Believe what you want. This is ridiculous. You need something to interpret the Bible. |

You understand some things that the others do not, please be patient with those who need the extra education. |

When a sponge is new ... and completely dry, its service life begins with small pockets of moisture collecting and each remain separated by large areas of complete dryness, parched for moisture.
The dry areas become smaller and smaller untill the entire sponge is finally fully moisturized and ready for use.
A new sponge is rarely instantly moisturized to completion in an instant. It is carefully filled by a master until it is a balanced cleaning tool dripping full and ready to be shared.
Very few are truly full and ready for use but none can wait to blast away at what ever they can reach just to keep from doing little or nothing until their time is at hand. It is they who do the most damage and almost always do more harm than good, and rarely know it.
All are witnesses of a massacre where only a few survive, and they never forget the battlefield.
