You should really try looking into the history of basketball to help you out. Before it became the "street game" it is today (nothing bad - I play all the time), the founder of basketball wanted it to be a non-contact gentleman's game, teaching morals and values.
You surely would be able to find something there that you could relate to scripture.

Guys, I don't know much about basketball! Isn't that where they run around all over the floor bouncing the ball around.
But, Briceb13 & Matthias, I want welcome you to our board. Please make yourselves at home. Any questions just ask me. You can e-mail me, or you can use the Private Message system above. (just click on You have no new messages) OK?

Hi
I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but scripture does point out big time that only a team effort can get the mission accomplished against all odds... be it sports or anything else. The book of Nehemiah painfully explains how the Israelites accomplished rebuilding Jerusalem's walls and gates (Nehemiah 3)... one man right next to each other... each doing one's own team responsibility. It also could show how when a team as a whole believes... that they will acheive.
Hope it helps... but I'm sure others will have good info for you. _________________ Peace
