Still, the Vatican on Tuesday said the decision by the Church of England to allow women to become bishops will be an obstacle to its reconciliation with the Roman Catholic Church. The Vatican does not permit the ordination of women.

I really don't understand why the Anglicans even want to reconnect with the Catholics in the first place and if so why would they do something that on the face of it offends those Catholics. Illogical?. _________________ My boss is a Jewish carpenter.

It has been prophecised.
I recommend "The Great Controversy" by Ellen White.
She predicted these events over a 100 years ago (as does the bible)...
It is a sign of the times.

Amen to that!!!
Catholism will never cease to amaze me concerning it's undying pride and self-distructive nature.
(and I was raised a catholic)
But this raises and interesting question.
As a theology student, I have visited numerous churches and denominations to observe their beliefs, sermon style and so on. And while they all vary greatly, there is a consistant common thread amongst all of them.
If you take a head count, women outnumber men in attendance by at least 3 to 1.
So my question now is this-
How do we answer this scripture?
1 Corinthians 14
As in all the congregations of the saints, 34women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 35If they want to inquire about something, they should ask their own husbands at home; for it is disgraceful for a woman to speak in the church.
How can women ask their husbands if their husbands aren't even present? So now what?
The catholics are dying because they don't have enough priests to go around, yet they refuse to ordain women.
Is it just me, or do you all out there see where this is headed as well? _________________ Pain is inevitable;
