Power of Positive Thinking
Positive thinking creates a mind concept of being happy, healthy and successful.
It's an attitude that changes how we deal with our daily life. It also helps eliminate stess that is so harmful to women's health.
Can we make it a habit?
Your feelings and beliefs are the foundation of your inner thoughts.
Whether you realize it or not, you control your thoughts.
When you're optimistic, your mental attitude expects good results.
When you're negative, your mentality changes and you expect the worse.
The biggest difference in people that are optimistic or pessimistic is their mental attitudes. Their approach to every day life is completely different.
The Power of Positive Thinking
Positive thoughts give you a healthier life. Your interaction with others is affected by your attitude. When your attitude is positive, you bear fruit accordingly.
Reflections of Being Positive
Improved relationships
Health
Inner peace
Acceptance of others
You try new things
You face challenges with less stress
Your self esteem is much higher
You have more energy
Changing Your Thoughts
Changing negative thoughts takes some effort and concentration. It will take practice to undo a "habit" you're accustomed to, but it's very doable.
Practice Makes Perfect
Listen to your thoughts.
When a negative thought starts to enter your mind, immediately replace it with positive thinking.
Start replacing words such as "can't" with "can", "impossible" with "possible" until it becomes a natural habit.
Be persistent, don't give up on changing your thoughts.
Visualize your thoughts. Instead of "I can't get this job," see yourself doing that job and saying "I can get this job."
Make a commitment to yourself to overcome negativity.
Develop a strategy for dealing with negativity.
Don't be afraid to challenge yourself. You are in control of you.
Set goals for yourself, write them down, visualize them and be affirmative about them.
Look for positive people to be around.
Do things you enjoy that make you happy.
Nourish your body with good nutrition and physical activity.
Thinking positively doesn't necessarily mean you expect everything to always turn out perfect. But I believe that it means you are more likely to succeed because you don't give up as easily.

Thanx for that sermon, LT!smile
Proverbs 15:17
Better is a dinner of herbs where Love is,
than a stalled ox and Hatred therewith.
Proverbs 17:22
A cheerful heart is good medicine,
but
a crushed spirit dries up the bones.
"Great men are they who see
that spiritual is stronger than material force,
that thoughts rule the world."
Ralph Waldo Emerson
with all words and therefore all thoughts in the captivity of Love and therefore of God, 2 Cor 10:5

Great post actualy
I start each morning with some meditation to prepare me for my day. Also taking some advice from Atoz and others here in 2007 gave me that extra little edge!
The idea is simple, But the choice is always our own. Atoz introduced me to the concept of looking at negatives in a positive manner. You know what I mean if i say: Double the order by halfing the chaos But its not just for that one sentence. Its for everything we do in life.
When you realy think about it! When something negative happens at work or wherever then how we react on that will either result in a positive or just dwell on more negativity. Ie whats the point in making it worse
great post, Thanks |

The law of "Attraction".
You attract what you put in the world.
Or
You reap what you sow.
The Secret.....
Reprogram yourself and you can sow good seed. |

You reap what you sow, Yet I reprogram myself to not dwell on failure when I sow bad seeds, But rather to admit failure, learn from it and move on. Otherwize I would just heap more negativity on my head. Yes we reap what we sow, But we should not dwell on the results. (knowing thats not what you wrote either ) I have been guilty of that in the past, But now thats changing and I am better off for it. Actualy its helping me to focus more on sowing good seeds too. An outcome I would never have imagined earlier As I think back, I do not beleave I would have been able to grasp this understanding in my earlier years |

It's an on-going process, AMK.
But remember, the past is gone!
Keep looking forward with your face on the goal.
You can't lose! |

“Master,” said the disciple, “How often should I affirm the positive in this life. I thought once on rising and once before I retire. Is this enough?”
“Hardly,” says the Master, “For we should try to affirm the positive with every in going breath and then reaffirm the positive with every out going breath.”
