Matthew 4:1 Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.
4:2 And when he had fasted forty days and forty nights, he was afterward an hungered.
4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If thou be the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.
4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
Now, do you understand what happened here ?
The point here, is that satan tried to get Jesus, to use HIS God-power.
WHY would satan bother with that detail at the beginning of Christ's ministry ??

Jesus is the word brought to life. What kind of power do words have? They are a sword they can cut down even the strongest man when he speaks falsely.

To stop his ministry. If Jesus was week by helping himself first instead of others then he would not be able to hold any power. Lack of Faith...
