On www.talkjesus.com, RJones added more names.

I am running into more and more atheists and those who say, that, Jesus is "a god" in Christian forums...perhaps, a sign of the end as they try to undermine our faith.

As long as we are able, we need to shout it from the rooftops - Jesus is Almighty God!

"Gods" is plural, meaning more than one God.

But setting that aside for a moment, if Almighty God Himself has a God then there is someone superior to him. That would be an astonishing proposition!

If the writer of Hebrews is using the term theos in a secondary sense when referring to the Son, as when scripture refers to the judges of Israel as theoi (or theos as an individual judge), then it is perfectly reasonable that the Son has a God.

Not more than One God but more than one persons in the One GodHead, God is a Trinity..

Similar to saying one cluster of grapes is made up of many grapes..

The One God shares one Divine Essence with The Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, All three are One..

Then why did you write "Gods"?

There is only one person in scripture identified as God Almighty. His personal name is YHWH.

The Son's personal name is not YHWH.

Article on SABAOTH from The New Schaff-Herzog Encyclopedia of Religious Knowledge. God Almighty, the Lord of Hosts, is identified as YHWH, not Jesus.

God is a trinity?

I really don't think that God is a trinity in any way.
There is only one God..

God; The one true God
Jesus; Son of God, died for are sins
Holy Spirit; The power of God or his breath. How he gives us life and speaks to us.

Yes, they all work together but are not all God.

No. I was simply inquiring about your startling use of the plural "Gods" in regard to the Almighty God.

Being called theos in scripture does not identify the person so addressed as Almighty God. As I pointed out previously, a judge of Israel could be called theos. No one would argue that one of those judges was actually YHWH (or Almighty God) Himself.

To further support my case about the differentiation between Jesus and Almighty God, I offer for your consideration this quote from Clement of Rome.

Quote:
The church of God which sojourns at Rome, to the church of God sojourning at Corinth, to them that are called and sanctified by the will of God, through our Lord Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, from Almighty God through Jesus Christ, be multiplied.

http://www.newadvent.org/fathers/1010.htm

Clement distinguishes between Almighty God and Jesus Christ in his Letter to the Corinthians. Almighty God sends grace and peace through His agent, Jesus the Messiah. That is entirely consistent with what we find in the NT.

Yet another example of a clear distinction being drawn between Almighty God and Jesus. This time from Ignatius.

Quote:
Ignatius, who is also called Theophorus, la Hero, the deacon of Christ, and the servant of God, a man honoured by God, and most dearly loved as well as esteemed, who carries Christ and the Spirit within him, and who is mine own son in faith and love: Grace, mercy, and peace from Almighty God, and from Christ Jesus our Lord, His only-begotten Son, "who gave Himself for our sins, that He might deliver us from the present evil world,"(1) and preserve us unto His heavenly kingdom.
