Hi David,
sometimes it seems like it..
but it is the spirit which brings all other things under submission to itself. And this is the struggle between the flesh and the spirit.
But they can compliment or destroy eachother too.
all three can work together in agreement.
or any one of the three can cause the other two harm.
or two against three..hmm..
all for one and one for all..
and then of course we have two opposing spirits working against each other at the same time..like the conflict Paul had in himself about doing good and doing it not..
I believe we all face this..the most.
So if the spirit is right, then the mind and body either follow suit or wage war against it.
And what has more power?
The spirit, the mind, or the body?
we know the flesh is weak..so that's at the bottom.
but then we have the mind..and that can be pretty strong in itself. But if the spirit persuades the mind to do such and such, then it is the spirit which bears rule over all three.
Now we just have to figure out..who's spirit is ruling..
God's or our own?
And we know where ours gets us..
And we now where God's takes us..
so the biggest battle is not in the mind but in the very spirit itself..hmm
thanks for that question David,
makng me think..good stuff.
hugs
