Let no one, then, call you to account for what you eat or drink or in regard to a festival or a new moon or a Sabbath.
What does Paul mean by that? |
Paul was refering to those people who try to persaude any person from following some of God's commandments.
In other words, people may try to tell you that you can love God, but ignore what HE says to do.
Paul kept the 7th day sabbath.
He also kept the sabbaths like the Feast days, the Passover, ect.
In todays world, the 7th day sabbath is under attack, by Christians(?) who say that you can love God, but ignore what HE says to do. |

Hi Silver,
you wrote:

Yes.
and concerning the very 4th commandment itself.
Men taught that according to the 4th commandment no one was allowed to do any work in it. If they did they were to be condemned by the law.
When the Word (rhema) of God came, he spoke to those who kept the law and told them they were teaching it wrong.
That it was lawful to do good on the sabbath, that it was good to save life and to not be condemned for doing good things on the sabbath day.
The law was written, but the Word spoke. And when the Word spoke it taught the truth concerning what had been written. Jesus even showed them how the spirit over rode the written law by showing them that even they themselves pull an animal out of the pit on the sabbath if it falls in.
And Jesus was speaking to them. They were the ones who had fallen in the pit and the Word came to pull them out of it..on His Day.
This is His Day Silver, these days that we are living in is his Day. He reigns in it. And we are to do what he "says" in his day. Because he has given his day to us so we can share this day with him.
It's not a day in which only 24 earthly hours are in, but it is The Day in which his presence is in. And his presence is in this day. This day and age..is His Sabbath.
And in this day and age..we are to put away those things which we used to do, and put on the way we are supposed to do now.
In those days they were under the law, and they were to live by that law, and if they broke even one little law, then they were condemned to die.
Bu those days are past. We walk in the new day. We walk in the Lord's day. Not when man was given a law to work in and to save themselves by their own righteousness. Because they were unable to keep the law by themselves. They couldn't hear it, couldn't see it, couldn't understand it. They interpreted it according to their hearts which were hard and uncaring and unmerciful.
But these days are not those days. A new agreement or covenant has been made. And in these days we are not to walk according to the law of the old covenant and our own works, doing it our way..but rather walk according to his word of the new covenant doing his works, his way.
And I know you know this, but you just don't see it the way you know it in your heart.
Because you agree, to do good on the sabbath is a good thing. And this is true. But the way they taught the sabbath in that day was that even if you did good, you were doing wrong. And so you even see the difference of the way it was and the way it is supposed to be. Not because it's written in a book, but because you already know it in your heart.
If we were still under the law of the old covenant, then when JB said:

I am sorry for the delay in response. I helped family today. They are getting up in years and need a little assistance. |
and you wrote:

You would not have been able to agree. You would have had to condemn and stone JB to death if this had been done on the sabbath day according to the law.
But the Day of the Lord or this Sabbath day, His Day in which we are in and reside in, is not about being under that law anymore. That covenant has passed. And today we live under the new covenant of Grace. In which
God says that we are to do good works in his day and not be condemned for doing them as they were in the those days.
This day of Grace says: It is lawful to do good on the sabbath day. And to do good means to put the old covenant and laws written in stone to bed. And to walk according to the law of mercy and forgiveness and love writtenin our hearts and minds.
And not on only one day of the week, but every day..in this day..which is His Day..this age, era, and forever...
so when you wrote:

do you see why I wrote:
Yes.
