Apparently you didn't.

The passage I posted answers your questions and clarifies your misunderstanding.

What misunderstanding?

So with respect to God killing the innocent babies and children in Egypt, it was ok because He could give their lives back again?

Yup

Did he give their lives back again?

Yup. That's what the crucifixion/resurrection is all about.

1)Jesus saved all of the people who died before he was even born?

2) Don't you have to accept Jesus in order for Him to save you?

3) How can you accept Jesus if you've already been dead for (thousands of) years?

1) What do you mean, "before he was even born"? He has always been.

2) Only if you want to be saved right now. The rest of you will have to wait awhile. Laughing

3) More'n likely they did that once they met Him face to face. Shocked Laughing

at the risk of dragging this off-topic...I'm just curious about who supports:

a) Abortion on demand
b) The death penalty

Perhaps I should break that off into a separate thread?

a) absolutely not.
b) there are better ways of handling it.

Did you?

But he certainly was born, after all.

Yeah, I appeciate that, but what does that have to do with the question?

P asked how could people who were dead for thousands of years by saved by Jesus (if He were not yet born).

And I'm saying what difference does it make what form He was in. Jesus was and always will be. Therefore, that would include anyone who died before Jesus was "born".

Well, I think that what most people teach is that "we are saved by the blood, which was shed at calvary". And this of course is an event that occurred at a specific moment in history. This is the premise for the question: "How can you accept Jesus after you have been dead for thousands of years?"
I believe that this is a very important question, and I have not heard any preacher handle it adequately. The standard line, I believe, is that "the people who died before Jesus' death and resurrection, who were saved, were saved on credit." But I have never heard an explanation of exactly how this "credit" system is supposed to work.
Just as a note, I'm not saying this to criticize or doubt any particular view, but I am just saying that I have not heard an explanation that makes sense. I have my own, but I'm not sure how "orthodox" it may be.
