It is hard to pin him down to what God actually means.
Its a little game we play.
For example: I talk about the 7th day sabbath to be observed by Christians, and he will go to great lenghts to show that the 7th day sabbath is not called Saturday in the Bible, which is a true point. | I think you are terribly confused.
You post things that say the Bible says something it does not say and I point out that your assertions are definitively false.
I don't need to go to any 'lengths' to demonstrate that you are wrong because the Word of God is clear and you consistently show that you have absolutely no regard or understanding of what it really says.
It may be a 'game' for you, but I find it deceptive and evil for you to continue to say that God's Word says something it does not say - your false doctrine is not a game to bible believing Christians. |

Do you really want the Mod's to set a post limit (ie: 1,000 word maximum or 5 paragraphs or less.....)?
I think they thought we were adults and could discern what is too much. The rules work just great for the majority of posters on this forum.

Amen. If people don't try to purposefully push the limits and explore the boundaries of the rules, then the rules work just fine 99% of the time. | And that thougth is what brought ALL the pain and sufferings into this present world
Adam & Eve had absolutely no idea that their disregard for the 'rules' would bring every kind of misery humans have ever known !!! |
Man, you got that right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11 |

And for that one person that get's screwed? What about them? |
I'm not saying that 1% of the time someone gets screwed. I'm saying that 1% of the time the rules don't work perfectly and the moderators have to step in and handle a situation.
If you think about how many people have posted here, and compare that with the number of times the moderators have had to step in, I'd say that it's probably about 1% of the time or less.
And if you compare the number of posts to the number of bans, then it's like 20,000 to 1 or something like that. This wouldn't be hard statistic to calculate. Just count up the tallies in all of the forums and compare it to the number of people who have been banned. This would be an interesting ratio.
This website works extremely well. |

Eleven;
You have some good questions and some good points but here's the rub:
We're not the only ones on this forum. It's great that we want to share our knowledge with one another but because this is a public forum we should cut our posts down in to digestible portions. We're not just sharing with each other we are sharing with all our brothers and sisters.
I have found myself very frustrated when I go in to a topic that I have been following and I find a very long post. There are times I don't have time to read posts of that length. My eyes get tired, my mind starts racing and drifting and I don't retain as much as I do with shorter posts many times.
I have never been warned about the length of my posts but I know that if I habitually start to post long ones, I will be warned. I would then take corrective action and it would no longer be a problem.
The other issue is that we do share this 'virtual' space with many people. If I had a gallon of ice cream and I had twenty-two people to serve, would it be fair if two people shared a quart out of the gallon leaving 3 quarts for the other twenty people? It's not very considerate to each other or to our hosts to take up an abnormally large amount of space on the forum.

You are so right luv! And thank you!!!
But the problem I'm having is with the the inconsistancy.
We are being told one thing, but the actions on this board are quite different than what is being said.
I'm being told that extensive posting of a topic is a violation, yet when it comes to bickering, it is not only long, and off topic, it can go on for pages! Why is that allowed?
Look, if you want people to follow rules, that's fine. But changing rules according to who is posting is just unfair.
And blocking sombody completely so that they can't even sign on, especially someone that has a history here, that's just heartless. |

I agree that banning people to make this a better, friendlier site, is completly correct.
However, I think on this site, Atoz has done more good than bad!
When I first joined, I had no idea what was right and wrong in religion, i had never even picked up a bible. The first people who spoke to me were Atoz, Wibler and Di. As I talked to them more, they made me feel better about my life, which hadn't really been going right. I've changed my life style a lot due to this site, and mainly because of Atoz. Atoz and I had a convosation going about love and hate in this topic:
http://www.bible-discussion.com/message-board-forum/viewtopic.php?t=6470
I used to hate a lot of people, because of bullying in my younger years at school. After talking to Atoz, I realised that hating them was effect me more than it was then. Once I gave the people I hated a chance, I realised they were actually nice people.
I dont exsactlty know what Atoz and the others have done to be banned, because I am not on here that much, and due to the amount of coursework I have to do today, I do not have time to read this entire topic. However, think on this
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone
How many of you can say that you have NEVER done anything to upset anyone on this site, have NEVER said anything that someone disagree'd with or took affence to. No ones perfect. Some people even hated Jesus. Jesus did not judge. Are you better than him? Even as a non-religious person, I think not. However if I am wrong, I welcome you to correct me!
Although I may not know my bible very well at all, I do know quite a lot of the important lessons. Even if you do not believe in God, or the Bible. The words make complete and utter sense. Make the least religious person in the world read the bible, and I garentee you they will read something that will change their view on their own life!
To be honest, reading what little of the NT I have, I thought it was all about repenting and forgivness. You can see the bible evolve. The OT teaching 'an eye for an eye, and tooth for a tooth..', however the NT teaching forgivness, and second chances.
I think that when the decigion comes between heaven and hell (if you believe in that), it will not come down to what sins you have committed, but rather, how you have made up for this sins, repented, apologised. Most people regret things they say and do, no one REALLY wants to upset people. Maybe I'm just young and neive, but I think repenting is more important than the actual sin, and forgivness is more important than condeming people.
I havent been on for a while, due to my busy life at the moment. However, I am very upset to think that someone who has changed my life around, without knowing the slightest thing about me, is now gone.
I think the entire staff here should think about these desigions, instead of looking at what these people have done wrong, look at all the good they've done.
This probrably hasn't made you people change your minds at all. But at least I know in my heart that I have tried. I do not hate any of you for doing this, infact, I dont even dislike you. This is because of Atoz, and his teachings.
I hope you all sleep well, knowing what you have done..
Thank you
Ardy

Ardnassdac, I appreciate your input.
You should know, as it has already been pointed out in this thread, that atoz and others are certainly welcome to have their membership reconsidered if they agree to adhere to the rules. The choice is purely theirs.
As for sleeping well... not too worry |
