J. Edgar Hoover was first recruited by Mitchell Palmer, the attorney general under President Woodrow Wilson (Democrat).
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) of which J. Edgar Hoover was in charge was formed in 1935 under a Democratic controlled Congress. |
I'm pretty sure that I covered this contingency by saying 'other right-wingers'. J. Edgar Hoover was certainly of a right-wing persuasion.

That sounds pretty bad, but at least he doesn't have any power to do any real harm to the world. Bush did, and did.
