This is simply a hip shot with no basis in fact. Scripturally it is entirely unsupported as well. | Why do you have such a hard time believeing what the Bible says ? | The Bible says that diseases didn't start until man strayed from God's original diet plan? Then surely you can show a chapter and verse reference? | Exodus 15:26 And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the LORD thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the LORD that healeth thee. |

None of the diseases of the Egyptians were what we'd now call "diseases." And they were clearly already in existence since they had already happened prior to God's statement.
So no, this verse doesn't support your statement. |

In order to know what are the best foods, we must study God's original plan for man's diet.
He who created man and who understands his needs appointed Adam his food. "Behold," He said, "I have given you every herb yielding seed,. . . . and every tree, in which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for food."
Upon leaving Eden to gain his livelihood by tilling the earth under the curse of sin, man received permission to eat also "the herb of the field."
Grains, fruits, nuts, and vegetables constitute the diet chosen for us by our Creator.
These foods, prepared in as simple and natural a manner as possible, are the most healthful and nourishing.
They impart a strength, a power of endurance, and a vigor of intellect, that are not afforded by a more complex and stimulating diet.
God gave our first parents the food He designed that the race should eat.
It was contrary to His plan to have the life of any creature taken.
There was to be no death in Eden.
The fruit of the trees in the garden, was the food man's wants required. |

Wait a second. If you raise a child as a vegetarian, it will die of malnourishment? Since when? |

| I know I'm gonna get a lot of flack for this, but a great number of diseases that we see today are caused by stress, and nothing more. |

Hi Silver:

so why did God find Abel's offer of a sacrificial lamb acceptable and Cains grain not acceptable?
didn't Abel's sacrifice show that meat was ok to eat from the beginning..seeing God accepted it?
hmm..did they eat the lamb?
hugs

Lest we get sidetracked by a complete ignorance of scripture as promoted by SS, we must remember what the bible actually tells us about eating:
Gen 2:9 And out of the ground the Lord God made to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight or to be desired--good (suitable, pleasant) for food; the tree of life also in the center of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of [the difference between] good and evil and blessing and calamity. [Rev. 2:7; 22:14, 19.]
Gen 2:16 And the Lord God commanded the man, saying, You may freely eat of every tree of the garden;
After the Flood in Noah's time, God gave humanity permission to eat meat (Gen 9:2-3 And the fear of you and the dread and terror of you shall be upon every beast of the land, every bird of the air, all that creeps upon the ground, and upon all the fish of the sea; they are delivered into your hand. (3) Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you; and as I gave you the green vegetables and plants, I give you everything.). God has never taken this permission back.
So, God gave us every tree of the garden, and then he gave us meat.
Now, to a more doctrinal issue (or should I say; to a more 'in your face SS because your own words work against you' issue):
The Bible records Jesus eating fish (Luke 24:42-43) and lamb (Luke 22:8-15). Jesus miraculously fed the crowds fish and bread, a strange thing for Him to do if He was a vegetarian (Matthew 14:17-21). In a vision to the Apostle Peter Jesus declared all foods to be clean, including animals (Acts 10:10-15). So, since the the scriptures clearly tell us that all foods are good for us to eat, and Christ Himself ate of them, then there is NO reason spiritually or scripturally to say we cannot or should not eat them. |

Absolutely, totally lack of faith, of what God has said !
God made the human body...HE should know how to nourish it completely. |
