What's the final scoop on this? I had read that the Catholic church does not allow festivals during Holy Week - and that this year because Easter is so early, St. Patrick's Day fell during Holy Week. So I thought the official view of the Vatican was that it was not to be celebrated.
Is that true or do I have the details wrong? _________________ Cybermonsters (Most Beloved Admin)

I'm going with "too late!" _________________ When Science was in its crib, Religion tried to strangle it. When Science was in its infancy, Religion tried to abuse it. Now that Science is grown up, Religion wants to be in its good graces.
Theology is philosophy/ethics for people who already know what conclusion they want to come to. |

Maybe some of our Catholic members can enlighten us? _________________ Truth doesn't care about theology, and theology doesn't care about truth. |

Actually, this is true. But I saw on TV where the different diocese stated that they were going to leave it up to the individual.
Some interesting facts about St. P though -
Saint Patrick was not an Irish native. He was born in Britain.
Also, it is a myth that St. Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland. Snakes were not indigenous to Ireland.
Seems there is a bunch of Blarney concerning this holiday.  _________________ Pain is inevitable;
