Wow! I just noticed that this board within the past couple of days has increased in numbers!

There are more than 4,000 members on this site.

Isn't that exciting??!?

Uhhh,,,,not really. I say that only because I've been watching the count too, and it seems that a lot of these newbies are just kids registering goofy names and you never see them post. If you look at where it says who was online today, you will see all the familiar names with an occasional newbie.

Wish I was wrong though.

When I first signed on it took me awhile to post my first post. I was nervous because I'd never been on a forum before. So maybe for some it's just waiting for the right opportunity to chime in..others..well they just kinda breeze by.. Very Happy

I sure hope you're right. I'm sure some of them must be legitimate. But watch the names they come up with. Some of them you know are pranks.

I think there are probably people who mostly just read the posts in different threads too but don't post much themselves.

There still are over 4,000 registered users.

There are always going to be people who register but don't spend much time on a site but this site stays fairly busy.

I looked at three other Christian sites and none had anywhere near 4,000 registered users.

The next-highest site still had less than 1,700 registered users.

I wonder if there is a way to see how many members are active.

I also wonder if there is a way to send a broadcast invitation to those who are registered but not active on this site to check it out again.

Luv Question Smile

Still, I'm sure all forum sites have spammers that join or try to. I'm equally certain that most forum sites have a higher number of registered users than they have active users.

For example, mymontana.com has 4,093 end-users registered on their site but they only have according to their site statistics 119 active members. They have had as many as 900 active members though at one time. I'm not sure why the number is so low now.

What percentage of the 4,000 + members on this board are active members (or how many active members do we have on this board)?

Just curious.....

It looks like we get around 30ish people logging in per day. Today so far it says 35 people have logged in (at the bottom of the index page). That doesn't count people who visit the site but do not log in. From what I notice, many of them are the same folks every day (say, 2/3 of them), but some are casual users, and some are just spammers (looks like 3 or 4 so far today). It depends on what you consider to be an 'active' user as to how many there are, but that should give you a general idea.

Ana, there's a lot of difference between an activated account, or an active account! A lot of these activated accounts haven't been here for years! Some read & never post!

Those that Spam in their Profile you can click on any of their names, but I warn some of you may get red ears at what you will sometimes read. Some of it is porn & nasty talk! Don't any of you look now!!! Laughing Laughing
