MoJo, I'm sorry to have missed your original post back when your mother first had problems. At this stage, I hope that things have turned around much for the better. Let me add some belated best wishes to you and your mother. You are in my prayers.

thanks Plotinus. The doc recommended therapy or massage treatment. She went for an assessment last night, but I haven't talked to her yet. Trouble is, the gov't dropped financial support for therapy and that stuff is very expensive.

Talk about looking after the poor, the widows , the orphans and the needy. Seems only the rich can afford health care these days. Crying or Very sad

However, I trust in the Lord and he hasn't failed us yet. That's the good news. Just requires patience on our part when these things happen. Both my Mom and I view our blessings because many people have it very much worse and we are content with the things we have.

And, of course, we have you guys to pray for us.

Smile

True. And our priorities for health care in Canada could use some adjustment. I've always believed that good dental care is as essential as medical care. If you cannot eat properly you cannot stay healthy. If you are out of work, try applying for a job when you have no teeth or dentures. But dental care costs a fortune and is often out of reach for the poor.

very true Plotinus,
I find it very difficult to eat properly and I know my health suffers beacause of it.
Oh to sink my teeth into a carrot or some peanuts even..lol..
I priced out dentures the other day. The first place I went told me $1200, for upper and lower dentures. I said..oh, 1200 for both..noooo..1200 up, 1200 down.
Shocked
I kept on a lookin and found I can buy a set for $700.
Chances are they will be as good as they cost..you know the saying, you get what you pay for?
But I have two choices..go cheap or not at all.

maybe Canada and US, not so different after all..

hugs plotinus,
