| Just want to know more on the Holy Spirit and His functions as far as in the body of Christ. |

Douglas, your going to hear a lot of different stuff especially from those that believe in the Trinity doctrine which I don't believe in. But I'm going to give you my take on it and I have studied it a great deal. Jesus said that the words that He spoke were Spirit and they were life.
Joh 6:63 It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.
Think about that for a moment. The very words He spoke contained Spirit. That must be the Holy Spirit to me otherwise I believe He would have made a distinction of which He didn't. Also, I can't imagine another Spirit that is also Life.
The Greek word for Spirit means "breath". What is interesting here is that a word is essentially a breath that carries a meaning. And that is important here. I believe the Holy Spirit is the very "being" of the Father (God) Himself. I believe it is what makes God - God. Consider Douglas if we took a paper and made a list of all the attributes that make Douglas - Douglas. In other words we write down who you actually are. Not the physical details but the mental attributes. We would have wrote down your spirit of the words that make you who you are. But they are not active as you unless they are exercised. This is how I believe that Jesus transmits to us God's Holy Spirit - I believe He does it thru the words He spoke.

| It's just that The Holy Spirit has been pouring His love in my heart this morning loving me and I feel so sinful before Him! I'm so glad God wants to love us even when we mess up! |

| Can I just talk about God? my heart is full of His mercy and love and it is driving me wild! I never knew God was so loving and kind to a sinner like me. God wants to seek us more then we do Him. God waits all through the day to fellowship with us to show us His love and plans for us. |

Sure, Doug!!!! I love to talk about Him too. He is so good, so faithful, full of grace and truth, kind, merciful and forgiving, and best of all -- God is love. And so much more is our God.
He loves us warts and all.

And the sin that God hates is the sin of hating myself as any word. See Matthew 5:43-48.
Example:
God loves me as unjust: Mt 5:45,
so the sin that God hates
is
my sin of hating myself as unjust ,
which self-hatred makes me hate others who are unjust as myself,
and makes me hate God when I think he is unjust as myself.
See 1 John 4:20.
