I helped a friend fix his truck and then a day later my van stopped running and also has a split in the hose. I work and give most of what I make I put in the offering at church and The IRS just gave us a blow saying we owe 6000 to them and we don't have it. My wife woke up a few days ago just to find out that her Parakeet died! My wife has problems in her body at times and needs a touch from God and takes medication for depression. My Daughter needs healing because she can't hear very well. One of my children has a deformed chest that sticks out like a bump. Another one of my kids is hooked on porn. I been asking God to deliver me from smoking for years and I'm loosing my patients with Him to do this because it is going to kill me if He don't.
I been praying to God trying to build a relationship with Him trying to do right before Him and reading His Word and now all this hits us! I bring this stuff to Him and feel His presence but He does nothing to help us. Why is God allowing all this stuff to come upon me and my family? Why is He allowing satan to do all this even thou I pray against him! Why doesn't He respond when I pray to Him?
I'm beginning to think God doesn't love us anymore or cares about us. |

Dear Doug!
I am praying for you and family.
I can help you more specifically with the WHY, but I am not sure you may be ready to hear it.
If I am wrong, and you want to hear, just say the word.
with all Love and Respect,

I too am praying Douglas. You say you are giving most of what you make in the offering at church. Why? Is the church helping you, I mean in deeds or finance?
I am sure God loves you but I don't have easy answers for the suffering you or others endure.

Hi Douglas,
I'm sorry to hear about all the things that just seem to be dumping on top of you all at once.
The saying goes..when it rains it pours, and all we can do is take it one rain drop at a time.
As far as the IRS, you can file for an extension, or they have payment plans you can do..so much a month until it's paid for. Usually they hit you with penalties and fees, but it gets you out of the immediate hot water. Sometimes if you talk to them, they will even drop the penalties and give you somewhat of a break.
I know all about vehicles breaking down just when you need them the most. And it seems when we do a "good deed" we get tested twice as much.
I'm sorry to hear about your wife's parakeet. It's hard losing family, friends, and pets specially when your faced with depression already..
Why me Lord??!!
Why now?!
No time is a good time, and we all face certain circumstances we would rather avoid. Believe it or not, sometimes these circumstances make us stronger in the long run, but going through them is hell.
I can relate to the smoking..I'm a smoker too and have been trying to quit for years. I think the secret is in the desire to quit. If you don't really want to, but you know you should, your desire will overcome your knowing better. I'm seriously considering going to a hypnotist. There's one in my home town charges $25.00. I've tried patches and pills and just plain will power..but my mind is very determined to undermind my attempts.

Sometimes God's way of building a relationship with us is by removing the fear of failure. Sometimes we just have to accept the challenges that face us daily and be specially thankful for the things that are going right.
I'm not saying it's easy, but in order to take the first step towards a strong relationship is to trust God that he knows what's going on and that he is with you through the good times and the bad times.
We are here for you too Douglas..
we are all friends here.
And we're praying for you and your family..that soon you will see a light at the end of this dark tunnel your going through right now.
It is there...don't give up..
Hugs

And maybe you have the wrong God.
Not knowing enough as I should, I would suggest you look around for a charismatic or Pentecostal church in your area, and go SEEK.

Hi Douglas. Please don't give up on God's love. I know that the burdens that fall on us are often unfair. But in the beatitudes, Jesus told us that those who suffer will find that their reward is great in heaven. I shall pray for your well being. |

| Yes but our rewards will not be based on our sin and short comings but on what we do in Christ. The wood, hey, and stubble will be burned up but only what is done in Christ will survive, God bless. |
