I am a new guy on the block!!

I am a new guy on the block and trying to introduce myself and can't find the right key to post an introduction - so I have landed myself here. Am I on the right track - anyway not sure how my journey is going to be from this point in time - someone please help by telling me what do I do to start a thread or post a reply in another forum.
