By His Stripes we are healed

Isa 53:

5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the LORD hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. cp 1pet 2

24Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed. 25For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The death of Jesus christ has its fruit. Remember in jn 12:

24Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.

32And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.

The death of christ has healing virtue , and it guareentees to bring forth fruit.

The OP states that and by his stripes we are healed. The elect who fell in adam apostacized from their covenant God , and hence in adam all have died..

But their is Good News , yes great news..The sheperd of the sheep has died and risen and because of this he heals us by spiritual resurrection and bringing us back to God..

Notice 1 pet 2:

by whose stripes ye were healed.

25For ye were as sheep going astray; but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The healing virtues of christ death , that is the fruit of his death enables us to return back to God..

The healing and returning are fruits of christ death hence he draws and we follow..

Jn 10:

27My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

our returning are the fruits of his woundinng , chastisement, his bruising...

To whom is the healing addressed ? Look at 1 pet 1:

1Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, to the strangers scattered throughout Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia,

2Elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, through sanctification of the Spirit, unto obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace unto you, and peace, be multiplied.

also look at 1pet 2:

but are now returned unto the Shepherd and Bishop of your souls.

The sheep..so christ heals the elect or the sheep , they are one and the same...
